AC Milan set to sign Chelsea flop after just one season in England

Chelsea flop, Tiemoue Bakayoko is a transfer target for AC Milan this summer. The French man joined Chelsea from AS Monaco last summer but had a very underwhelming first season at Stamford Bridge that saw him lose his spot in the French national team for the World Cup. He has returned for preseason training, but it seems he hasn’t gotten better as his mistake allowed AC Milan to equalize in their International Champions Cup match. With Maurizio Sarri coming to Stamford Bridge with Jorginho, Milan want to sign Bakayoko as they believe they can bring the best out of him. Sun Sport claims Genaro Gattuso’s side see Bakayoko as one of two midfielders who could help sure up their midfield, the other is Salzburg’s Diadie Samassekou. Bakayoko’s experience in a big European league may see him edge the Malian and join the Italian giants should the Blues agree to sell.

Manchester United plot to hijack Everton’s move for Barcelona star

Manchester United are planning to swoop for Barcelona’s Colombian defender, Yerry Mina after they were priced out of a deal for Harry Maguire. Maguire emerged as Jose Mourinho’s main target two weeks ago, but Leicester City don’t want any fee that is less than £65 million for the England World Cup hero. This fee has forced the Portuguese manager to turn his attention to Mina. Mina has been linked with moves to the Premier League all summer. Everton and West Ham were eyeing him with a season-long loan reportedly in the works. However, Manchester United are planning to make a permanent move for his services for £35 million. Mina scored 3 goals for Colombia in Russia, but would still struggle to get playing time at Barcelona this season with Gerard Pique and Samuel Umtiti the first choice centre-back pairing. The Blaugrana have also signed Clement Lenglet and Malcom, the latter would need to be signed as a non-EU player, so Mina would have to give up his spot.

Arsenal’s move for former Premier League star being held up by his father

Arsenal’s move for Stephen Nzonzi is being held up by a unique clause in his current Sevilla contract that entitles his father to some money when he leaves the Spaniards. Nzonzi joined Sevilla in 2015 after spells in the Premier League with Blackburn and Stoke City, and he won the Europa League in his first season under current Arsenal manager, Unai Emery. The Spanish boss and the World Cup winner are keen on being reunited at the Emirates Stadium but the two clubs are still far from reaching an agreement. Nzonzi has a release clause of £36 million written into his current contract, but the Gunners don’t want to pay that much for his signature. Reports in Spain claim that if his father can forfeit his own percentage of any sale of the midfielder, the Spaniards would be willing to listen to offers below his release clause, otherwise, the Gunners would have to pay up his release clause.

Chelsea striker linked with a move to Valencia

Chelsea attacker Michy Batshuayi could be set to make yet another loan move out of Stamford Bridge this summer, with La Liga side, Valencia interested. The Belgian has failed to impress since he joined the Blues from Olympique Marseille in the summer of 2016. He was shipped out on loan in the second half of last season and scored 7 goals in 10 league games for Borussia Dortmund. The Germans were impressed and wanted to take him on a permanent basis this summer, but Chelsea wanted Maurizio Sarri to have a look at him first. However, the Italian is currently intensifying efforts to be reunited with Gonzalo Higuain and that would surely push Batshuayi further down the pecking order. He is already behind the likes of Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud. Reports in Spain claim that the attacker has now been linked with a move to Valencia on a season-long loan deal. The Spaniards are said to have made their offer known to the Blues and they are now waiting to see if the Blues would want to add an obligation to buy at the end of the short-term deal.
