Nice and Marseille will face each other in arguably one of the biggest match of the Coupe de France quarterfinals. Christophe Galtier has made Nice one of the best clubs in France and they look set to play in the Champions League next season. The French manager won the Ligue 1 title with Lille last season and has now moved to his present side to make them a force in the league. They have earned some stunning wins and are just behind PSG on the league table. Marseille is also having a good season and they are title challengers. This game would see two of France’s improving sides clash as they bid to get their hands on the French Cup after Nice eliminated PSG from the competition. The host will feel if they can beat the competition’s most equipped team, they can beat anyone. However, Marseille has been in great form and will have their eyes on the trophy as well. Nice has a good recent head to head record in this fixture especially when they play at home. They have no losses in the last two matches. But Marseille has won three of their last five visits to the Allianz Riviera.  

EA Guingamp come into this week after what is arguably the most difficult weekend of their careers. They had beaten PSG 2-1 in the French Cup just a week back, but their return to the venue of their biggest result this season was a more terrible one. They were beaten 9-0 by Thomas Tuchel’s men as Neymar and Co. took their time to exert revenge on the 2014 French Cup winners. That result ended a good spell of 4 wins in 6 games for Guingamp and their confidence must have taken a big hit ahead of this game. They has just 2 shots on target and faced 12 shots on target in that game, but they would feel this game would not come with so much work like the weekend’s. Their opponent are also having a bad season in the French second tier. Nancy are bottom of Ligue 2 and come into this game on the back of two consecutive losses. In those losses, they showed signs of improvement though and their fans would be hoping that they can keep that up when they  host this struggling Ligue 1 bottom side. These teams have only faced off twice since 2005 with Guingamp winning both clashes, 2-0 in 2016 and 1-0 in 2017.
