Chelsea and Tottenham would square up with each other in this Carabao Cup game as they both look to become the London team to reach the final of the competition. The Blues have been winning trophies since Roman Abramovic and his millions came to London, while Tottenham have had nothing to show for the impressive style of football under Mauricio Pochettino. The Argentine boss is much-loved and his job won’t be on the line if he fails to deliver trophies, but the likes of Dele Ali and Harry Kane would be eager to add trophies to their cabinets. Chelsea on the other hand have been struggling for goals and they haven’t score more than 2 goals in a game in their last 5 games in all competitions. With the help of Jorginho, his players have taken to his method faster and they would be looking to help him earn his first trophy as a manager in this season’s Carabao Cup as Liverpool have opened an 8 points gap over them on the league table. With no Champions League to play for this season the Carabao Cup and FA Cup could be good trophies to try and win for Sarri and his players should take advantage of playing at home to beat Bournemouth in this game. Bournemouth has become one of England’s biggest success story. After spending much of their time in the lower leagues, Eddie Howe’s men have established themselves as a Premier League force over the past couple of seasons and they would now turn their focus to winning trophies. The Cherries are set to finish this season far away from the relegation zone, so they would fancy themselves winning a trophy as well.

Arsenal have made a good start under Unai Emery after he was selected to succeed Arsene Wenger last summer, however, they have still failed to compete for the Premier League and a place inside the top still looks a big task for them as well. They were on a run of 22 games unbeaten which helped them up the league table as well as reached the quarterfinals of the Carabao Cup and knockout stages of the Europa League. But that run came to an end at the weekend when Southampton beat them 3-2 at Saint Marys. They would be looking to return to winning ways here and having defeated their north London rivals just a couple of weeks back, they would be confidence of eliminating them here as well, but that won’t be an easy job. Tottenhan fans would be hoping that they can finally end their trophy drought by winning the Carabao Cup this season. They have made steady progress since Mauricio Pochettino became their manager  4 years ago, but they haven’t been able to win anything despite reaching the latter stages of the EFL and FA Cup as well as qualifying for the Champions League consistently. They have already been beaten by the Gunners this season and they would hope to reverse that when they return to the Emirates here.

Manchester City would continue their quest to win the Premier League and Carabao Cup for the second consecutive season when they take on Fulham in this Carabao Cup game. The defending champions made a swift return to the summit of the Premier League table when they beat Tottenham 1-0 on Monday. That win means that they have won 7 of their last 8 games in all competitions and the only time they have failed to win was when they were held to a goalless draw by Liverpool. They have also netted 28 times in those 8 games, and we expect to see some changes taking effect in this game, however, with the likes of Kevin de Bruyne and Gabriel Jesus playing it is not necessarily a bad team. Fulham are finding it hard to adjust to life in the Premier League after gaining promotion to the English top flight last season. They come into this game on the back of 4 consecutive losses after Bournemouth trashed them 3-0 at the weekend. The Cottagers have conceded 15 goals in their last 4 games, and the 28 goals they have conceded in the Premier League this season is the most by any team in the division. Manchester City have won their last six meetings with Fulham, with the most recent being a 3-0 win at the Etihad in September. The Citizens have netted 19 goals in these 6 matches and seen a total of 14 in the last 3.
