Bournemouth would welcome Manchester City for this interesting week 3 fixture as they look to maintain their unbeaten start to the league season. The Cherries beat Aston Villa 2-1 away from home in their last league game to get level on points with their visitors. Eddie Howe has made some shrewd acquisitions in the market this summer, with Harry Wilson making an immediate impact by netting on his first start last weekend. Manchester City was on the end of a bad VAR decision last weekend as they drew 2-2 against Tottenham at the Etihad. The Cityzens would feel hard done by and consider this game a must-win to help them keep up with Liverpool. On their day, City are unplayable as they boast some of the best players in the world. Kevin De Bruyne looks like a player desperate to make up for a lost time and it feels like he would be key in this game. Manchester City has won all the last 4 games against the Cherries, but the games played at the Vitality Stadium are always a tight affair and City haven’t won by more than a goal in their last two visits.

Bayern Munich would be looking for the first win of the season at the second time of asking when they visit David Wagner’s Schalke 04. The Bavarians were held to a 2-2 draw at home by Hertha Berlin in their last league game and now have to play catch up to Borussia Dortmund who won their opening game 5-0. Bayern was in a similar position last season and even trailed Dortmund by up to 5 points and still won the league, so their fans won’t be overly worried but they need to get their first win of the season as soon as possible. Schalke 04 named Wagner as their manager over the summer and they would expect him to take them back into a European place by the end of this campaign. They began their campaign with a goalless draw against Borussia Monchengladbach that was their 3rd clean sheet in 4 games and they have conceded just one goal in that period, so it would be tough for Bayern to crack them here.

Juventus begin their Serie A title defence when they visit Parma in this season opener. The Old Ladies have experienced some changes over the summer with the likes of Maurizio Sarri and Matthijs de Ligt joining them. Juve seems to be looking to move away from the normal safety first approach most Italian teams adopt. With Sarri, they would play a more attacking based football with more emphasis on keeping hold of the ball and entertaining fans. Sarri was vindicated during his spell at Chelsea. Prior to joining the Blues, we had branded him a trophyless manager, but he left England after reaching the final of the Carabao Cup and winning the Europa League. At Juve, he has more support and has the luxury of playing some of the world’s best players and it would be interesting to see how they start their campaign. Parma would be looking to end this season in a better position than they did last season and a good start here would help boost their morale ahead of the other fixtures. They drew 3-3 against Juventus the last time both sides met in the league and a similar showing would be a major result for them.

Chelsea would be looking for the first competitive win under Frank Lampard when they visit Norwich in this game. Daniel Farke has got Norwich playing some of the best football in the Premier League and they showed what they are about with a 3-0 win over Newcastle in their last game. Teemu Pukki outscored everyone in the Championship last season and has 4 goals from two Premier League games already, he is one the Blues defence has to monitor. Chelsea is looking to rely on their young players this season and has also named a rookie manager in Lampard. The former Blues midfielder has implemented an exciting brand of football, but the results have yet to come. Chelsea do start their games fast and may also take the lead in this game, but it remains to be seen if their defence can keep things tight at the back for the entire 90 minutes.

Liverpool and Arsenal would look to continue their fine start to the season with this cracker at Anfield. The Reds have continued their tradition of impressing at the European stage as they beat Chelsea to win the UEFA Super Cup. They followed that up with a 2-1 win over Southampton at Saint Mary’s at the weekend with a howler from Adrian the only reason they couldn’t keep a clean sheet. The Reds have got their front three firing again, but Sadio Mane looks like the most improved after netting 3 goals in his last two games. The Senegalese star also loves to score against the Gunners and could be the Man of the Match here again. Arsenal have won back-to-back opening games for the first time in a long while and their fans would hope they can build on that in this game, but they also know that Liverpool remains one of their bogey teams. The last time these sides met at Anfield, Liverpool netted 5 goals against the Gunners and this could end in a similar fashion if the Gunners don’t get their game plan right.

Rangers would be looking to earn a win here and salvage some pride after Celtic finally beat them to an 8th consecutive Scottish league title last week. Steven Gerard’s side has had a season of highs and lows and they would be keen to give their fans something to remember this season for by beating Celtic in this game. Gerard’s side hasn’t been consistent for much of the season but their fine run in the Europa League and their current run of 5 consecutive wins show that they can beat any team on their day and their fans would hope that is the case in this game. Celtic have left it a little late, but they have finally secured an 8th consecutive league crown after beating Aberdeen 3-0 the last time. While it was almost inevitable that they could win the league again, their struggles against some of the league’s lesser sides and the departure of Brendan Rodgers had made things a little tough for them. Celtic are still undefeated this year despite the departure of Brendan Rodgers early on, but Derbies are still hard to predict and we expect them to try and get yet another win here.

Liverpool fans may have enjoyed their team’s incredible comeback win against Barcelona on Tuesday, but they would be hoping for some drama on the final day of the Premier League season here. They would welcome Wolves for this final game of the season looking to see how they can get a win and hope that Manchester City drops points against Brighton. The Reds have been matching Manchester City’s results for much of this year, winning their last 8 league games on the trot. Wolves have been the most impressive team in the Premier League among those promoted last season and they look set to end the season with European qualification should Manchester City win the FA Cup. The Midlands side have beaten most of the top six sides this season and even eliminated Liverpool from the FA Cup, however, they were beaten 2-0 by the Reds in the reverse of this fixture and Liverpool’s form suggest that a similar outcome may be in store for us here.

Tottenham watched as Liverpool bettered a Lionel Messi-led Barcelona in the Champions League on Tuesday and were determined to prove that they are also capable of turning around a bad situation. They went on to perhaps even better the Reds performance by scoring 3 goals in the second half against Ajax to reach the Champions League final having been 3-0 down at half time. They would now turn their attention to the Premier League as they look to secure yet another top four spot. They may have been impressive in the Champions League, but their latest league result leaves a lot to be desired. They come here needing a draw to reach the Champions League, however, their better goal difference means even if they lose this game they would most likely still end the season in a Champions League place. Everton come here guaranteed to end the season outside the top seven, which may be considered as a disappointment by some but they would be keen to at least end the season well by taking some points off Tottenham.

Brighton heaved a sigh of relieve when Cardiff City lost yet another game to confirm their safety and the Welsh side’s relegation, that confirmation has given them to chance to play an important role in one of the most interesting title races in recent memory. The Seagulls haven’t been in fine form and it can be argued that they have been on a free fall from the month of March having lost 5 of their last 8 games since that time. They drew against Arsenal the last time, that result follows other draws against Newcastle and Wolves so they would be pretty confident of getting something against City here. City would be looking to wrap up the Premier League title with another win here as Liverpool continue to keep pace with them. They are just one point above the Reds and a win for both sides this final game week would see them win the league with that single point but another result would see them lose the title on the last day to Liverpool should the Reds win. City hasn’t been flamboyant in their recent games, but they have been getting the results. They have won their last six games in all competitions, although three of their last four games have all ended with 1-0.

Milan and Lazio would both be keen to end their recent run of poor form when they face each other in this game. The home side has had some tough run of fixtures recently and come into this game having not won any of their last four games and they would be desperate to get back to winning ways here. Milan were beaten by city rivals Inter a few weeks back before also losing 2-1 to Juventus the last time out. They did well against Juve and even took the lead, but the defending champions were unstoppable in the second half. Lazio have played opponents with lesser quality, yet they failed to capitalize, losing 1-0 to SPAL and drawing against Sassuolo. They have struggled for goals on the road recently having scored just 3 goals in their last five trips away from home. With a European place at stake for both of these sides, we expect them to come out with collecting all three points in mind, but home advantage could swing this game in Milan’s favour.
