Arsenal are heavily scouting Rennes’ Ismaila Sarr as they look to steal a march on their Premier League rivals in the race for the 20 years old’s signature. Sarr caught the eyes of top European sides with his performances at the World Cup as he starred in their group stage match against Poland. Last week he reminded the world of just how skilful he was by scoring a goal of the year contender in their Europa League match. He has been tracked by some of Europe’s best clubs so far and rejected the chance to join Barcelona last summer because he was not guaranteed playing time. He has been compared to Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele a player who also came through the ranks at Rennes, but he is set to cost his next employers more than Dembele initially cost Borussia Dortmund. According to reports, he is currently valued at £50 million and his agent claims that they have received enquiries from the top teams from England, Spain, and Germany.

Manchester United have suffered a blow in their bid to sign Alex Sandro from Juventus as PSG are now considering making a move for the former FC Porto star as well. Sandro has been on the radar of Manchester United for the past two summers and came close to joining them in the summer of 2017, however, Juventus fought hard to keep hold of him. It is believed that the Old Ladies are ready to cash in on him now, but Manchester United are no longer the firm favourites. Reports from Italy claim that PSG who signed Juan Bernat from Bayern Munich this summer are also interested now and the French champions are prepared to outbid the Red Devils. Luke Shaw is the only recognisable natural left back at Manchester United at the moment, and although the English man has been impressive so far, Jose Mourinho wants to bring competition to that part of his team.

The next three months could be Paul Pogba’s last as a Manchester United player after his latest falling out with Jose Mourinho. The French man’s relationship with the former Chelsea boss has hit rock bottom after the Portuguese manager told reporters that Pogba would never captain Manchester United again. This comes after the World Cup winner appears to question Mourinho’s tactics after their match against Wolves at the weekend. Pogba said: “When we are at home we should attack, attack, attack. That’s Old Trafford. We are here to attack. “I think teams are scared when they see Man United attacking and attacking. That was our mistake today.” When the France star was then asked what is stopping the team from attacking more, he replied: “I can’t tell you because I’m a player. It’s not me.” This latest episode is reportedly going to end with Pogba getting his long-desired move to Barcelona. The Catalans were keen to sign the World Cup winner over the summer and even offered 50 million pounds plus two players for his signature, but the Red Devils rejected their offer.

Arsenal have not given up on signing Sevilla’s Ever Banega despite failing in their efforts to sign him last summer. Banega worked with Unai Emery at Valencia and joined the Spaniard when he was named the manager of Sevilla where they won repeated Europa League titles together. The 30 years old was approached by the Gunners in the summer, but he decided to remain with the Spanish giants, however, the Gunners remain keen on reuniting him with Emery. Emery has started the season brightly after securing 3 wins from 5 games and also helping the Gunners to climb up the league table to 7th position. The Gunners start the Europa League campaign this week and they would be hoping that Emery’s winning plans with Sevilla would help them win the competition as well and qualify for the Champions League without needing to finish inside the Premier League top four. Banega’s current release clause stands at 18 million pound, a fee that shouldn’t be too much for the Gunners to pay.

Alvaro Morata could be set to make a shock move across London to West Ham in the next transfer window as he had failed to ignite the Premier League at Stamford Bridge. The attacker scored 11 times last season and started this season well by scoring a goal against Arsenal, but the goals have since dried up and he has fallen behind Olivier Giroud in the pecking order. He has been frustrated by the spotlight shining on him after he made the 58 million move from Real Madrid to Stamford Bridge last summer, and he could be set to switch clubs temporarily. TalkSport claims that a move to West Ham is on the cards and he could join the Hammers in the January transfer window. It appears that Morata may not fancy a move to a relegation-threatened club, however, AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, and Atletico Madrid are also interested in signing him temporarily.
