Arsenal midfielder,Santi Cazorla is looking to start his career afresh after undergoing his ninth operation on a troublesome Achilles.

Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has disclosed that the Spaniard is looking to start from zero as he looks to save his disrupted career.

Wenger had hoped to call on the midfielder by January after his 8th Achilles operation that has kept him out of action since October last year, but that would no longer be a possibility after the midfielder’s latest operation.

On Wednesday, Wenger told the Evening Standard that he had sent Cazorla a message to wish him quick recovery after his latest operation, but the Spaniard responded in a lesser optimistic manner.

Per the source, the Spaniard told Wenger that he had to “start over again, basically from zero”

Wenger was unhappy with the fresh setback, but admitted there was nothing else to be done other than to accept it and look forward to a fresh return for him.

Cazorla has not played for Arsenal in 14 months, and has just six months left in his current Gunners’ deal. He is in a race against time to prove he is worth a new deal.
