Liverpool striker Roberto Firmimo is reportedly wanted by Real Madrid this summer, with Los Blancos ready to sign the Brazilian when his contract at Liverpool ends.

Firmino will become a free agent by the end of June as his eight-year stay at Liverpool ends.

According to the latest reports, several clubs have approached him, but Real Madrid are reportedly leading the race for his signature.

However, according to Sportsmail, Firmino wants to see where he would fit in with Real Madrid’s plans before deciding to move to Spain.

The striker knows that should he make the move to the Santiago Bernabeu, he would play a support role to Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema.

The Frenchman will likely stay at Los Blancos despite his contract being up in the summer.

Despite being out for much of the season, Firmino was still one of  Jurgen Klopp’s better performers this season. The 31-year-old scored eleven Premier League goals in 25 appearances – despite making only 13 starts.
