Manchester City are not ready to lose any of the players that has helped them storm to the top of the Premier League this season, as they look set to offer Kevin de Bruyne a new long term contract.

The Belgian midfielder has been their most outstanding player this season, helping their cause with 6 goals and 8 assists all before the new year, and the league leaders want to reward his form.

According to Daily Mail Sport, the Cityzens are set to offer the De Bruyne a new six years deal worth above £200,000 per week.

This would be almost double his current £115,000 per week deal which still has at least four years to run.

Manchester City do not see any problems arising during negotiations as the Belgian is obviously settled in Cheshire with his family and would be willing to continue contributing to their long term project.

This news comes after reports that they are set to make Pep Guardiola the highest paid manager in the world in a deal that could see him remain at the Etihad for an additional 8 years.

The Cityzens also plan to offer improved terms to Gabriel Jesus, and remain hopeful that Fernandinho would sign a contract extension with them.
