West Brom manager Alan Pardew has admitted that he would be “stupid” not to say he likes Liverpool attacker Danny Ings, because he does.

The former Crystal manager was speaking ahead of his side’s meeting with Liverpool this week.

According to him, there would be a first recruitment meeting at the club soon, ahead of his first transfer window next month, and Danny Ings should be one of the players they would be discussing.

Ings made his second appearance in two years for Liverpool in their 1-1 draw against Everton last weekend. His Liverpool career has been hampered by long term injuries since he joined them from Burnley in the summer of 2015.

With an abundance of attacking talents, Liverpool manager may not stand in the way of Ings should he ask for a move away. However, the German has been rotating his attacking players recently and may choose to keep the 25 years old.

Grzegorz Krychowiak’s West Brom career would also be up for discussion when the club meets to discuss transfers.

The Pole has not featured since Pardew was named manager last month, and his £100,000 per week deal is a major strain on the club’s budget. His loan deal may be cut short next month.
