Liverpool has reportedly had their £ 55 million bid for Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni.

The Reds had wanted to sign the Frenchman from Monaco before his move to Real Madrid last season but couldn’t compete with Los Blancos, as Tchoumeni preferred a move to Santiago Bernabeu.

But things have not worked out for the 22-year-old in Madrid, with Tchoumeni struggling with form and injuries, and have lost his place to fellow countryman Eduardo Camavinga.

Liverpool wants to take advantage of his lack of game time and has offered Madrid £ 55 million for his services. This is according to a report from El Nacional, who claim Real Madrid will not listen to any offers below £80 million.

But with the acquisition of Jude Bellingham and the renewals of Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, and Dani Ceballos, the Reds could feel optimistic about finally getting the player they wanted in 2022.
