Paris Saint-Germain football director Luis Campos, has confirmed that his club is talking with Lionel Messi regarding a contract extension at the Parc des Princes.
The Argentina international has less than one year left on his current PSG deal and is attracting interest from several clubs. However, his current side PSG remain hopeful of tying him down to a new contract.
The Ligue 1 champions opened talks with the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner shortly after he returned to Paris from the World Cup finals in Qatar. But no terms have been agreed as yet, amid rumours that the 35-year-old is delaying discussions so that he can weigh his options.

“At the moment, we are in discussions with Messi for his extension,” he said
“I would like to keep him in this project. I can’t hide it. We are talking at the moment to achieve this goal and continue to have him with us.”
Messi has registered 26 goals and 28 assists in 57 appearances for PSG.
