Inter offer Manchester United swap deal involving Spanish star

Manchester United have been offered a swap deal by Inter Milan that would see Joao Mario head to Old Trafford in exchange Juan Mata. Mata has less than a single year left on his current Manchester United contract, but like most of his team mates the Red Devils have the option of extending it by another year. Corriere dello Sport  via Sun Sport is claiming that Juan Mata is wanted at the San Siro with the Nerazurri prepared to offer Joao Mario in exchange. But the reports further claims that Jose Mourinho would not accept a player swap even though he wants to sign Mario. Mario has struggled for game time this season, and has been transfer-listed by Inter Milan. Per the report, a swap deal could still through, but it would be Henrikh Mkhitaryan who the Red Devils will offer instead of Mata. Mkhitaryan has struggled to make even the substitute’s bench recently, and has not started for United since the 1-0 loss to Chelsea. Mourinho is actually interested in a player plus cash deal for Mkhitaryan. Manchester United are also interested in Milinkovic Savic, of Lazio, but the player seem to prefer a move to Juventus at this stage.

Jose Mourinho confident of signing Spurs ace this winter or next summer

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho is confident that he can land Tottenham left back Danny Rose, this January or next summer. Matteo Darmian was Mourinho’s first choice left back initially, but the Italian has fallen behind Young in the perking. While the duo of Marcos Rojo, and Daley Blind could also deputise in that position, Mourinho is keen to have specialists in every position on his team. Rose could have joined the Red Devils last summer, but he was injured and has only returned to first team action. At 27, Rose feels he is worth more  than he is paid at the moment Tottenham, and voiced his displeasure earlier this season in an explosive interview with The Sun. According to Daily Mail, the Red Devils would bid £50 million for Rose.

Former Liverpool manager reveals Premier League interest

Manager of “invincible” Celtic, Brendan Rodgers has revealed that several Premier League sides have tried to bring him back to the English top flight, but he has turned them all down. Rodgers almost won the Premier League with Liverpool in the 2013/2014 season, thanks to the impact of Luis Suarez, Raheem Sterling, and Daniel Sturridge upfront for the Reds, but finished second that season, after a late capitulation at Chelsea and Crystal Palace. His Reds team however, failed to measure up to the standard they had set that season, and once Luis Suarez was sold to Barcelona they failed to finish in the top four the next season, which led to his sacking. But since he joined Celtic in the summer of 2016, they have won five trophies and remain unbeaten in Scotland. The Irish man who is a long-time Celtic fan, claims he is a happy man. According to him, he knows he could earn more in the Premier League, but happiness is more important than money to him. West Ham, Everton and Swansea were credited with an interest in Rodgers, but it would be difficult to sell a club without European commitments to him now.
