Cadiz vs Girona: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Girona will travel to Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla this Friday, where they face relegation-threatened Cadiz in the 21st round of the 2022/23 La Liga season. The hosts come into this tie occupying the last relegation spot, having taken just 19 points in 20 games (W4, D7, L9). Their last outing was negative as they were heavily beaten by Athletic Bilbao (4-1) away from home. But they will be happy to be returning home to Nuevo Mirandilla, where they have enjoyed some good results, especially against bottom-half opposition.  The hosts currently boast La Liga’s third-longest unbeaten home run (W2, D5), although those results have been mixed with some clean sheets combined with scoreless efforts. Read more: AC Milan vs Torino: Preview and Expert Football Prediction Meanwhile, both sides played out a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture, so this could be another tight encounter featuring Under 2.5 goals. Girona enjoyed their last outing, as they recorded a narrow 1-0 win over a managerless Valencia side. The win was their 13th consecutive La Liga game either drawn or decided by a one-goal margin (W4, D5, L4). The win was also their first clean sheet in La Liga this season, so they might not be expected to repeat the same. Meanwhile, Girona have opened the scoring away from home fewer times (D1, L1) than any other La Liga club this season.  This combination of factors makes this tie ripe for an Under 2.5 Goals bet.

Rayo Vallecano vs Almería: Match Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Almería will visit Campo de Fútbol de Vallecas on Monday to take on Rayo Vallecano. The hosts are looking to record back-to-back league wins for the first time since November after beating the top-six-chasing Villarreal away from home last time. The win over the Yellow Submarines was their second win since the return of league football after the World Cup, and it has pushed them ten points ahead of the relegation zone. They are just two points behind the European spots and will be desperate to end the season in the top half. However, to do that, they will have to improve their home form, as they have yet to win a home league fixture (D1, L2) since beating Real Madrid 1-0 here in early November. Read more: Verona vs Lazio: Match Preview and Expert Football Prediction Almeria will also hope to record a second consecutive win when they face Rayo Vallecano on Mondays. The visitors come into this fixture on the back of an impressive 3-1 win over Espanyol. The win stretched their unbeaten run in the league to three matches (W1, D2) and pushed them further away from the relegation zone.  They defeated Rayo Vallecano 3-1 the last ten both teams met in October. But with Los Rojiblancos one of two sides still to win a league-away game this term (D3, L6), the football prediction for today will be Under 2.5 Goals.

Barcelona vs Sevilla: Match Preview and Expert Football Prediction

La Liga leaders Barcelona will welcome struggling La Liga giants Sevilla to Camp Nou this Sunday for their 20th fixture of the league season. The Catalan side are enjoying good results and performance in La Liga this season as they sit top of the league table, ahead of Real Madrid. They come into this tie on the back of a well-fought 2-1 win over Real Betis that saw them reach 50 points for the season. They could see their lead cut to two by kick-off, given that Madrid will play before them. However, with a record of having won the title in four of the five previous occasions they’ve picked up 50+ points at this stage, Xavi’s side are “on a good path” to title success. Read more: Tottenham vs Manchester City: Match Preview and Expert Football Prediction After a series of poor results and being stuck in the relegation zone, Sevilla are now on a good path towards survival. The visitors have managed to climb into mid-table with three wins across their last four league games (L1), giving them a two-point cushion to the relegation zone after 19 matches.  However, they could still be dragged back into the red zone by kick-off, given that the teams below them play earlier. That fact only adds to the weight of history as Jorge Sampaoli’s men have failed to win a La Liga H2H since October 2015 (D4, L10). But given that they have netted in each of their last nine away league games, eight times exactly once, they will fancy their chances of bridging a stubborn Barcelona backline. However, given that Barcelona have enjoyed narrow wins in their last three home games, the accurate prediction for this game will be Under 1.5 goals.

Atletico Madrid vs Getafe: Match Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Atletico Madrid will look to make it three consecutive La Liga wins when they host struggling Getafe on Saturday evening. The hosts come into this tie on the back of back-to-back wins ‘to nil’ against Valladolid (3-0) and Osasuna (1-0), taking their points tally for the season to 34. Having been eliminated from all cup competitions this season, they will look to concentrate all their efforts on securing a top-four finish and perhaps joining the title race. Meanwhile, Getafe remain rooted in the relegation zone after another poor showing in the league that saw them lose 1-0 to Real Betis. Read more: Wolves vs Liverpool: Match Preview and Expert Football Prediction The loss was their fourth consecutive loss and made it back-to-back outings without a goal for the visitors, who have scored jusgb16 goals in the league this term–the fourth fewest goals scored in La Liga. Head coach Quique Sánchez Flores has been backed to secure Getafe’s survival in his third stint at the club. But the Spaniard must sort out his side’s defending to achieve that, with Getafe keeping only one clean sheet in their last six league games. This game will likely feature Under 2.5 Goals. Athletic Bilbao vs Cadiz: Match Preview and Expert Football Predictions

Athletic Bilbao will look to win their first league game of 2023 when they welcome Cadiz to Estadio San Mamés on Friday. The hosts have endured a miserable run in La Liga since after the World Cup, with no league wins since then (D2, L3). Their most recent outing, a 1-0 loss to Celta Vigo, confirmed their longest winless run of this La Liga campaign.  After the game, manager Ernesto Valverde said his sides’ greatest problem is “generating a lot but achieving little”, as they converted 51% of possession into zero shots on target in their most recent outing. They have a chance to bounce back here, given that Cadiz have conceded the joint-second most goals in the league this season (29 goals). Read more: Real Betis vs Barcelona: Match Preview and Expert Football Predictions  However, the visitors come into this tie in good form, having lost just one of their last five league games (W2, D2). Their last outing was a 2-0 win over Mallorca, so they will be confident of getting a good result here. But given that all but one of the last ten La Liga fixtures involving either club produced fewer than 2.5 total goals, the Accurate Football prediction for this game is Under 2.5 Goals.

Real Madrid vs Valencia: Match Preview and Expert Football Predictions

Real Madrid will look to get back to winning ways in La Liga this Thursday when they welcome a struggling Valencia side to the Santiago Bernabeu. Carlo Ancelotti’s side come into this tie on the back of a goalless draw against Real Sociedad. The result, coupled with Barcelona’s narrow 1-0 win over Girona, means that Los Blancos are now trailing the league leaders by five points.  While Ancelotti described the performance against Sociedad as one of his side’s “best performances of the season”, he knows that it will take more than good performances for his side to catch Barca. So far, just half of the league games have been played, so there is still time to cut the gap.  Read more: Villarreal vs Real Madrid Match Preview For now, having not lost in the league at home since March 2022 (W8, D4), they will fancy their chances of beating a Valencia side that are without a manager after recently sacking manager Gennaro Gattuso. The former Napoli was sacked last week after leading Valencia to just five wins in 18 games this term (D5, L8). The visitors are winless in their last four league games and come into this tie sitting in 14th place, just one point above the relegation zone. Los Che are also without an away win in La Liga since early October (D2, L2), so it will be hard to predict anything more than a loss here.  They have also lost their last four games against Real Madrid, although they scored in their last three, so we expect over 2.5 goals.

Villarreal vs Real Madrid Match Preview

Real Madrid continues to trail Barcelona on the La Liga table, but now it is just goals that separates them and they will not want to drop points and make that change for any reason. Los Blancos have dominated the Spanish top flight in recent seasons and would be keen to retain the crown they won last term, which means they must win this game. Villarreal hasn’t done badly since Unai Emery left them to become the boss of Aston Villa in England and they will be keen to ensure they can continue their recent fine run of form in this fixture. They have won their last three competitive games and all of their last five, including beating Valencia in their last league game, but they know Madrid is a tougher opponent to face, which will mean they need more effort to win this fixture. Villarreal do not have a good record in this fixture and has won none of their last five, losing two of them as they look to become one of the top clubs in the league. But they always give Madrid a hard time and we expect this game to end in an away win or draw. For similar predictions, click here.

Real Valladolid vs Real Madrid Match Preview

Real Valladolid would want to earn another important win and maintain their fine home form when they host Real Madrid in this crunch La Liga fixture. They lost their last game before the break, but have restarted with a 5-1 win in the Spanish Cup, albeit to opponents not comparable to Madrid. Madrid is behind Barcelona on the La Liga table now, and they will be keen to get back with a win and stay close to their rivals as they bid to retain the league title. However, they will be without Luka Modric, Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni for this game and that might weaken them a little and hands a chance to Valladolid to earn a famous win. The host last beat Madrid in 2008, so this game will be tough on them, and we expect them to get a heavy beating if they are not focused. Madrid lost their last two competitive away games before the break, but we expect them to get back to form with a victory here, having won on their last three visits and four of their last five here. The best bet prediction for this game is over 1.5 goals. For similar predictions, click here.
