Marco Asensio will LEAVE Real Madrid on free this summer

Real Madrid attacker Marco Asensio will reportedly leave Real Madrid when his contract at the club expires this summer.  The Spanish forward will become a free agent at the end of the season. Los Blancos had wanted to keep him beyond this summer, but he has chosen to leave and rejected a contract extension, according to Relevo via GOAL.  Per the report, Asensio’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has been in talks with Madrid since December, but both parties could not agree, so Asensio will be leaving this summer.  Read more: Real Madrid offer Eden Hazard for Harry Kane  Asensio joined Madrid in 2015 from Mallorca, but despite his obvious talent, he has never been a guaranteed starter in the Spanish capital. The 27-year-old has started just half of the 30 La Liga matches he has featured this season and just two of his 12 Champions League appearances. He will now continue his career elsewhere, with plenty of suitors circling for him this summer. French heavyweights Paris Saint-Germain are one of the teams interested in him, while clubs in England and Italy are also in the picture, including Aston Villa.

Inter Milan vs Atalanta: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

After their Coppa Italia exertions in midweek, Inter Milan will look to secure a place in the UEFA Champions League next season when they welcome Atalanta to the San Siro for the penultimate league game of the 2022/23 season. Inter won the Coppa Italia title for the second season in a row on Wednesday, with a brace from Lautaro Martínez sealing a 2-1 comeback win over Fiorentina. The Nerazzurri will now be able to extend the celebrations by avoiding defeat against Atalanta which would confirm their top-four finish.  Coach Simone Inzaghi acknowledged their priorities after Wednesday’s win stating, “We have the league again, and then Istanbul”, where they face Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League final. Read more: Borussia Dortmund vs Mainz: Preview and Expert Football Prediction Inter should be confident of winning where given that they have won their last two home league games. Another victory here will make it the first top-flight season head-to-head double over Atalanta since 2014/15 after they won the reverse fixture 3-2. Meanwhile, Atalanta are fighting for their lives here, with victory over Inter their only realistic route to Champions League football next season. But even their destiny is not completely in their hands as they can only hope that AC Milan lose to Juventus. Gian Piero Gasperini’s men come into this last round sitting in fifth position, three points behind AC Milan. So even if they win here and Milan beats Juventus, they won’t qualify for the UCL. But if they win here and Juventus loses, they can still hope for a top-four finish on the last day of the season. Yet, they are also fighting for more than a top-four finish, as Europa League is not secure. So a win here will give them a chance to play UCL and keep their chances of playing Europa League football next season, given that they are one point ahead of sixth-placed AS Roma. Four wins from their last six games (L2) suggest the visitors may be finding their feet at just the right time. But they must break a poor away spell, having failed to win here against Inter since March 2014. Click here to get 100 percent winning tips.

Borussia Dortmund vs Mainz: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

The 2022/23 Bundesliga season will wrap up this Saturday, with Borussia Dortmund welcoming Mainz to Signal Iduna Park. The hosts will be desperate to end the season on a high note after reclaiming the title initiative thanks to a 3-0 win over ten-men Augsburg in their last outing. That win, coupled with Bayern Munich’s 3-1 loss at home to RB Leipzig, means that Edin Terzic’s men can become the German champions for the first time in eleven years if they win this game against Mainz. So it’s all or nothing for BVB, who will do all they can to ensure they end Bayern’s dominance and secure their ninth Bundesliga title.  Read more: Strasbourg vs PSG: Preview and Expert Football Prediction  Their home form ahead of this game makes them the favourites for a win here, with their eleven consecutive wins at the Signal Iduna Park their longest home winning streak this century. Meanwhile, Mainz will look to play the role of title spoilers when they travel to Signal Iduna Park on Saturday. The 05ers looked like a credible threat to European places recently. Yet a run of four straight defeats, which came after a ten-game unbeaten run of the league, has set them on the path to a tepid end to what seemed a promising campaign.   But Bo Svensson’s ninth-placed Mainz will at least hope to end the season with a win and record their first away win in three attempts. Meanwhile, Mainz did Dortmund a favour earlier in the campaign by defeating Bayern 3-1, and Bayern will now pray that Mainz will build on a respectable record across their last three trips to Dortmund (W1, D1, L1) and return the favour.  Click here to get over 2.5 goals odds.

Sevilla vs Real Madrid: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Real Madrid will travel to Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán this Saturday to face Europa League finalists Sevilla in the penultimate game of the 2022/23 La Liga season. Sevilla’s chances of breaking into the European spots in the league table took a big hit last time as they were held to a 1-1 draw with already-relegated Elche. That result means that they come into this penultimate weekend sitting one point behind Osasuna in the race for a spot in the Conference League qualifiers next season.  But they can be forgiven for taking their eyes off the ball as they can qualify for the Champions League, a far more superior competition, if they defeat AS Roma in Budapest next Wednesday. Read more: Inter Milan vs Atalanta: Preview and Expert Football Prediction But manager José Luis Mendilibar will want his side to give their best here to ensure they are prepared to secure top seven should the opportunity arise. He will want his side to extend their six-match unbeaten run in all competitions (W3, D3) and to keep their improved home league form this calendar year going (W7, D2, L2). Meanwhile, Real Madrid will look to make it back-to-back wins for the first time in nine games when they face Sevilla. Carlo Ancelotti’s side bounced back from back-to-back defeats to Manchester City and Valencia to win 2-1 against Rayo Vallecano last time. But even that win was not straightforward, as Los Blancos needed a late goal to win. Yet, a run of eight games without defeat against Sevilla should make them confident of winning here. And having overtaken Atletico Madrid in second place, Ancelotti will want his side to end the season on a high note by winning their last two games and securing a top-two finish. Strasbourg vs PSG: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Paris Saint-Germain will look to become Ligue 1 champions for the second year in a row when they travel to Stade de la Meinau to face Strasbourg. The hosts come into this fixture looking to secure their top-flight status for another season. A 1-1 draw with Troyes last weekend put them on the verge of doing so, as all they need is a point from this game to ensure they won’t be relegated. However, even if they lose and Nantes fails to secure three points against Lille, Le Racing will still avoid relegation. Therefore Frédéric Antonetti’s side enter this match without too much pressure. But considering their strong home form of late (W5, L2), and their balanced record in the previous eights league H2Hs held here (W2, D4, L2), they could turn this final outing of the season at Stade de la Meinau into a great celebration. But Paris Saint-Germain isn’t going to roll over here as this game should secure their historic eleventh Ligue 1 title. Read more: Sevilla vs Real Madrid: Preview and Expert Football Prediction Christophe Galtier’s side come into this round of games sitting six points at the top of the table. So all they need is to avoid defeat here, and they will mathematically win the title. Should they achieve that, Galtier would go down in Ligue 1 history as the first manager to keep his team at the top of the standings from the first to the last matchday of the season. His side looks well primed to win here as a 2-1 win over Auxerre last time extended Les Perisian’s flawless record against current bottom-six teams (W11). The last five H2Hs have all witnessed the opening goal scored within the first 20 minutes. So we predict a first-half goal in this game. Click here to get accurate football predictions.

Liverpool INTERESTED in Wolves star wanted by Barcelona

Liverpool have expressed their interest in signing Wolverhampton midfielder Ruben Neves. It’s no longer news that the Reds are in the market this summer for a dynamic midfielder who will bring the creativity and energy their team seems to lack. They had been on the hunt for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham but have come to terms with the fact that they can’t afford the young Englishman.  They have turned their attention to several alternatives, with Wolverhampton Wanderers captain Neves one of their key targets. According to Football Insider, Liverpool have a concrete interest in acquiring the 26-year-old, who is expected to leave the West Midlands outfit this summer. Read more: Chelsea SCRAP end-of-season awards ceremony  But Jurgen Klopp’s men are not the only club circling. Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona are the favourites to sign the Portuguese midfielder, having been linked with the player for several transfer windows. According to Insider reports, the Blaugrana may use Ansu Fati in a part-exchange deal to bring Neves to Camp Nou. The Wolves captain is said to have already agreed on personal terms with the Spanish club. However, Liverpool is” waiting in the wings” if Barca ends their pursuit of Neves. The La Liga giants are facing financial complications and must shed €200m off their wage bill. Wolves reportedly want just cash for their midfielder, which only bodes well for Liverpool.

Real Madrid offer Eden Hazard for Harry Kane

Real Madrid reportedly wants to sign Tottenham hitman Harry Kane and are ready to add Eden Hazard to the package that will bring the English striker to the Santiago Bernabeu.  This is according to a report by Spanish outlet Cadena Ser, which claims that Los Blancos have been offered the chance to sign Kane, with the club considering the option. Spurs chairman Daniel Levy wants to sell Kane this season at a price to avoid losing him for free next summer and wants to sell him to a non-Premier League club. Read more: Real Madrid to chose between Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe next year Although Manchester United are interested in Kane, Levy would rather sell him to Real Madrid or Bayern Munich than a direct rival.  But selling to Madrid could be difficult as their summer budget does not include buying a striker. Yet, they have found a way to fund the deal by adding Eden Hazard.  The Belgian is out of favour at the Santiago Bernabeu, and Madrid will be willing to offload him this summer. Although Hazard has insisted he wants to see out his contract in Sapin, the deal could benefit him as he would return to familiar territory in the Premier League.

Sampdoria vs Sassuolo: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

The penultimate round of the 2022/23 Serie A season begins with a game between already-relegated Sampdoria and Sassuolo at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Friday. The hosts officially became the first team to be relegated in Serie A this season three weeks ago when they were beaten 2-0 by Udinese. Since then, they have had no respite and were most recently beaten 5-1 by AC Milan in their last game.  The loss at the San Siro was their 24th Serie loss of the season, making them the side with the league’sleague’s worst defence and feast goals scored in the league this season (22 goals).  La Samp are destined to finish bottom of the Serie A table for the first time in their history unless they miraculously catch 19th-placed Cremonese, who sit six points above them with a better goal difference. Read more: Osasuna vs Athletic Bilbao: Preview and Expert Football Prediction The chance of that happening is very slim, given that the hosts are winless in their last nine league games (D3, L6). Sassuolo, meanwhile, will travel to Stadio Luigi Ferraris, desperate to end their own torrid run of four games without a victory (D1, L3). The visitors come into this sitting in 13th place, with a slim chance of cracking into the top half with just two games to play. This game seems inconsequential in determining their final placement at the end of the season.  Yet Alessio Dionisi’s side can at least aim to avoid being the only side to lose two times against Sampdoria this season, having lost the reverse fixture 2-1. But four straight defeats away from home shows that losing is a high possibility. Meanwhile, Sassuolo have seen ten of their 12 Serie A wins this season come by a one-goal margin. So we can expect a low-scoring adventure on Friday featuring under 2.5 goal.

Chelsea SCRAP end-of-season awards ceremony

Chelsea Football Club have cancelled their annual end-of-season awards ceremony following a terrible year in the Premier League. The Blues are set to finish the season in the bottom half, no matter the result they get from their last two games. Chelsea’s struggles have come despite spending a whopping £600m on new players this season under American billionaire owner Todd Boehly. Read more: Real Madrid to chose between Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe next year However, according to the Evening Standard, awards to players will still be handed out. But the club felt it was ‘inappropriate’ for a ceremony to be held given that the men’s side have nothing to celebrate. Chelsea Women have had a successful season, having won the Women’s FA Cup and are on course to win the WSL title. But their men’s team have nothing to celebrate, so the club felt there was no point holding a ceremony. Instead, they will hand out awards for men’s player of the season, academy player of the season and goal of the season before their final home match against Newcastle on Sunday. This will be the fourth consecutive year the club have not held an in-person awards ceremony. Last season’s event was cancelled because of the sanctions placed on previous owner Roman Abramovich, while the Covid-19 pandemic prevented the club from hosting an awards ceremony in 2020 and 2021.

Osasuna vs Athletic Bilbao: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Osasuna will welcome Athletic Bilbao to Estadio El Sadar this Thursday, with this meeting being their fourth meeting in this calendar year. Both sides are still fighting for a place in Europe and can take a giant step towards their aim with a win here. Extra time was needed to separate them after two Copa del Rey semi-final legs earlier this year, with Osasuna progressing to the final but ultimately losing to Real Madrid. So a top-seven finish will be the only remaining path to continental action for the hosts, who currently sit in tenth position, three points behind their visitors in seventh. Read more: Manchester United vs Chelsea:  Preview and Expert Football Prediction  So with three games to go, this is a must-win for them if they still want to play European football next season. Having drawn 0-0 in the reverse fixture, Jagoba Arrasate’s Osasuna would jump ahead of their rivals on the head-to-head tiebreaker with a win here. However, four losses from their last five games (W1) show they are outsiders in this tie. Yet Bilbao’s one win from their last five games (D1, L3) doesn’t make them clear favourites. But their record of five wins from their last seven La Liga visits to this stadium should give them confidence.  A decent away form this year should also serve as a morale booster, as Bilbao have picked up more La Liga wins on the road (W4, D3, L4) than at home (W3, D2, L5) since the World Cup. Meanwhile, two of the last eight H2Hs in all competitions produced more than 2.5 total goals. So an under 2.5 goals bet is advisable for this game.
