NHL Expert Picks: Hurricanes VS Canadiens Sure Tips

Next Tuesday the NHL night schedule brings such an interesting showdown between Hurricanes VS Canadiens.  The Carolina Hurricanes (33-20-4) are playing against the Montreal Canadiens (26-26-5) on Tuesday, 26th of February, 2025.  The match is scheduled for 01:00 AM at the Bell Centre. For NHL Betting Predictions from a Hot Prediction Site you can count on, read MatchPlug’s betting preview for Hurricanes VS Canadiens to get some help with your bets. Betting Preview for Hurricanes VS Canadiens Betting On The Hurricanes   The Hurricanes have been considered favorites for the Stanley Cup for many seasons now.  They are currently in the playoff zone with 70 points, playing up to their potential. Their most recent game was a disappointing 6-3 away loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on February 22nd. Their loss in this game marked their third consecutive defeat on the road, highlighting their weakness in away matches. Despite these losses, Rod Brind’Amour’s team appears to be more stable overall. They have also recorded a 3-0 away victory that showed that they not only have a strong offense, their defensive lines are also secure.  Betting On Canadiens The Canadiens have played pretty decently this season but have been unable to achieve consistent winnings. In their games in January and early February, they only managed 5 wins in regulation time and after the Four Nations Tournament break, they redeemed themselves with a win against Ottawa. Their Ottawa victory was on February 22nd in 5-2 away game which managed to set them on a steady position in the standings. Now, however, they are struggling with injury reports of some of their key players. Tkachuck, Pinto and Norris have been missing in games and their absence might cause major problems for the team in their match against the Hurricanes on Tuesday. MatchPlug Prediction For Hurricanes VS Canadiens This match between the Hurricanes and the Canadiens is going to be a tough one because it is their first meeting for the season.  In this fixture, The Hurricanes have significant statistical advantage of beating their opponents in home and away matches in recent years and are currently desperate to redeem themselves after their series of away losses.  Our prediction for this game is a victory for the Hurricanes in regulation time. Final Prediction: Carolina Hurricanes Moneyline

NHL Expert Picks: Buffalo Sabres VS Anaheim Ducks

Buffalo Sabres are on hosting duties this Tuesday as they welcome Anaheim Ducks to the Keybank Center. Read our preview of the Buffalo Sabres VS Anaheim Ducks game. The Buffalo Sabres who are 23-27-5 and have recorded five home wins in a row will aim to extend the streak with the Anaheim Ducks at 25-24-7. The game is scheduled for 01:00AM at the KeyBank Center. For NHL Betting Predictions from a Hot Prediction Site you can count on, read MatchPlug’s betting preview for Sabres VS Ducks to get some help with your bets. Betting Preview for Buffalo Sabres VS Anaheim Ducks  Betting On Buffalo Sabres  Buffalo Sabres have been on a strong run, winning their last five straight games at home. Their last game which was a 8-2 victory over New York Rangers was secured with the combined efforts of player Rasmussen Dahlin who had 4 points and Goalie Ukko-Pekka Luukonen, who made 26 saves. It’s safe to say that the Sabres have the firepower to come out on top at the Key bank center this Tuesday, just like they did when they last played the Ducks at Honda Center and finished with a 3-2 victory. Betting On Anaheim Ducks  The Anaheim Ducks have been inconsistent. Their last game was a disappointing 5-4 defeat that occurred at the Little Caesars Arena in a game against the Detroit Red Wings. Despite bagging 4 goals like their opponent, their defense was a bit shaky and they conceded one more goal which led to their defeat. The Ducks will need major improvements at defense if they want to stand a chance against the tough Sabres on Tuesday. MatchPlug Prediction For Buffalo Sabres VS Anaheim Ducks While the Buffalo Sabres and Anaheim Ducks haven’t had a problem scoring goals this season, we anticipate a win for the Sabres. The Sabres have been consistent at home, securing consecutive wins and protecting their defense. They have the home advantage in this game and will likely secure another win to their streak. Final Prediction: Sabres Moneyline

NHL Expert Picks: Maple Leafs VS Bruins

Boston Bruins will meet Toronto Maple Leafs in an Atlantic Division showdown on Tuesday, 26th February, 2025. Read our preview of Maple Leafs VS Bruins. The game is scheduled for 01:00 AM at TD Garden. MatchPlug has the latest analysis, odds and insight, check out Matchplug’s coverage of the matchup. Betting Preview for Maple Leafs VS Bruins Betting On The Maple Leafs  The Maple leafs enter this match on the back of a 2-5 away win over Chicago Blackhawks. The game marked their second win in a row in recent games. So far, they are considered to have one of the best defensive line in the Eastern Conference as they have not conceded more than 3 goals in their last 8 games in a row. The Toronto Maple Leafs have also recorded 5 wins in their last Six games and are going into Tuesday’s match confident to make it 6 wins in 7 matches. Betting On Bruins Meanwhile, the Boston Bruins are still struggling with winning games this season. Their attack is so poor that their recent game ended in a 2-3 overtime loss to Anaheim Ducks, extending their losing streak to three in a row. In addition Boston’s attack form hasn’t been consistent. They have been unable to score more than three goals since their last victory against New York Rangers earlier in February.  If they want a shot at winning this match, they will have to seriously work on their attacking form.  MatchPlug Prediction For Maple Leafs VS Bruins While both teams most recent meetings in the last two years ended on even results, we anticipate the Toronto Maple Leaf to beat the Boston Bruins this Tuesday. The two teams will be determined to secure a win over the other to continue competing in the Eastern Conference standings but the Maple Leafs are the better team to actually achieve a win. Therefore, our pick for Boston Bruins – Toronto Maple Leafs is a narrow win for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Final Prediction: Toronto Maple Leafs Over/Under

However, the team has struggled to perform in recent road games, making their advantage in this Saturday’s match less secure. For Saturday’s game, the Wild are expected to finish with a win. Therefore, our pick for this game is Minnesota Wild to win. Final Prediction: Minnesota Wild Over 5.5

Makar is back to Canada to face Finland at 4 Nations Face-Off

Cale Makar returned to Canada’s lineup in a 5-3 win over Finland at the 4 Nations Face-Off at TD Garden on Monday. The defenseman  played a team-high 23:57, scored four shots on goal and blocked four shots.  He is preparing to face the United States in the championship game on Thursday.  “I feel great,” Makar said. “I felt really good today.” Makar would not go into details of what he was dealing with the past few days, but did say, “it was really unfortunate.” “I did everything I possibly could to play in that game [3-1 loss to the U.S. on Saturday], and hopefully, obviously, we get another crack at them now, so it’d be ready for that, but no, [I’m] feeling a lot better now,” he said. As for being able to play Thursday, Makar said, “Unless something happens in the next few days here, that’d be the plan for sure.” Makar played in Canada’s 4-3 overtime victory against Sweden on Feb. 12 in the tournament opener for each team but did not skate the following two days because of what was classified as “an illness.” He took part in the morning skate Saturday, but did not play that night against the United States at Bell Centre in Montreal.
