Chelsea may get the opportunity to secure talented Barcelona defender Pau Cubarsi in a swap trade. Cubarsi is a player that manager Mauricio Pochettino is very eager to buy.
According to Sport, the Catalan giants are thinking about letting Cubarsi leave if their terms are met. What Barcelona is seeking is a swap deal that involves Ian Maatsen of Chelsea.
Maatsen, who does not want to sign a new deal at the club, wants to leave for regular football. Moving to the Catalan team would be a very appealing deal to the 21-year-old. He has turned down two contract offers from Chelsea this season.
