Manchester City have been told they can have West Brom captain Johnnny Evans for £23.5 million this week.
The Baggies have been reluctant to sell the Manchester United graduates for a long time now, but his reluctance to sign a new deal has left them with no other choice than to sell.
Arsenal are also interested in signing Evans, but he prefers to move to the northeast where his family still stays.
He scored one of the goals as West Brom won for the first time in 20 top-flight games against Brighton last weekend, and Alan Pardew was hoping he would remain with them until the end of this season.
He joined West Brom from Manchester United for less than £10 million in the summer of 2015, and the Red Devils are believed to also be interested in signing him.
Although the asking price looks good in light of the current transfer market, Manchester City would be looking to bring down the price to less than £20 million.
After suffering their first loss of the season at Liverpool last weekend, Pep Guardiola is expected to make a few quick signings and Evans could be on his way to the Etihad Stadium this week.
