Verona and Parma Share Points in Goalless Draw

Hellas Verona and Parma played out a 0-0 draw, moving both sides further away from the Serie A relegation zone. It was their first goalless H2H encounter since 1963.

Verona almost ended their streak of six first-half blanks when Daniel Mosquera’s header hit the post after just two minutes. Parma then came close as Pontus Almqvist’s long-range shot narrowly missed the target.

Chances were scarce, but Mosquera had another opportunity just before halftime, only for Alessandro Vogliacco to make a crucial block.

The second half saw defences remain dominant, with Parma looking the more likely to score. Dennis Man’s penalty appeal was waved away, while Adrian Bernabé and Jacob Ondrejka tested Verona’s goalkeeper Lorenzo Montipò.

In the end, neither verona and parma could break the deadlock, settling for a point in their survival battle.
