Thanasis Antetokounmpo Re-Signs With Bucks on One-Year Deal

Thanasis Antetokounmpo is returning to the Milwaukee Bucks after missing last season while recovering from a torn Achilles tendon.

The Bucks announced Sunday that they’ve re-signed the 33-year-old forward, who is currently competing for Greece in EuroBasket.

Antetokounmpo, the older brother of Bucks superstar and two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, previously played in Milwaukee from 2019–24. He appeared in 34 games during the 2023–24 season before the injury setback.

Across his NBA career, Antetokounmpo has averaged 2.4 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 7.7 minutes in 198 regular-season appearances. Aside from a brief two-game stint with the New York Knicks in 2015–16, his entire NBA tenure has come with the Bucks.
