The San Jose Sharks have missed the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the sixth straight season. Their 18-41-9 record officially eliminated them from contention following the St. Louis Blues’ 7-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks.
The Sharks last made the playoffs in 2018-19, reaching the Western Conference Final before falling to the Blues in six games. The match featured forwards Joe Thornton, Tomas Hertl, Logan Couture, Timo Meier, Joe Pavelski and Evander Kane, as well as defensemen Brent Burns, Erik Karlsson, Marc-Edouard Vlasic and Brenden Dillon.
