Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are monitoring the situation of Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo, who has slipped down the pecking order under Ruben Amorim.
The 19-year-old academy graduate has struggled for minutes since returning from injury in December, losing his place in United’s midfield setup. Mainoo has yet to feature in the club’s opening two Premier League fixtures of the 2025–26 campaign against Arsenal and Fulham.
According to the Daily Mail, several Premier League clubs are also exploring a move, with both Madrid sides considering a season-long loan for the England international.
United’s immediate focus, however, remains on the domestic front, with a Carabao Cup second-round tie against Grimsby Town on Wednesday, followed by a league meeting with Burnley on August 30.
