Real Madrid captain Nacho Fernandez has set aside his future amid Champions League jubilations.
His contract is due to expire at the end of the month.
But Fernandez says: “I don’t want to talk about that. I’m very happy to continue making history for my club and that’s all I’m thinking about.”
On the win over Borussia Dortmund, he also said: “This is tremendous. It takes a lifetime of dedication to this club, it takes a lot to achieve these things and today is the happiest day of my life.”
“We suffered in a very difficult match because Dortmund played a great game. We know how to hold our own in difficult moments because that’s Madrid’s DNA. This is one more night, one more final and one more European Cup to continue making history with this club.”
