Rashid Shaheed hasn’t played a game for Seattle yet, but he already sees his future there.

“I’m here to stay, man. We can figure something out after the season ends,” the new Seahawks receiver said Wednesday, via FOX13 Seattle.

Shaheed, who becomes a free agent after the season, said he plans to be in Seattle “long-term.”

The optimism makes sense — Shaheed already knows offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak’s system from their time together in New Orleans.

Before a meniscus injury ended his season last year, Shaheed posted 20 catches, 349 yards, and three touchdowns in six games for the Saints, showing his ability as a deep-play threat.
