PSG launch world record bid for Philippe Coutinho as they hope to make Neymar stay

PSG are prepared to pair Neymar with Philippe Coutinho next season if that would make the former Barcelona man become settled in the French capital.

The French champions are aware that Neymar is looking for a way out of the Parc des Princes this summer with Real Madrid looking to sign him as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.

However, PSG would not let him leave without a fight and they believe signing Coutinho would make him happy at the French capital.

Reports in Spain claim that PSG have made an offer of £239m for Coutinho. That amount is short of Barcelona’s valuation of the player and his release clause is above £300 million, however, PSG are prepared to meet his release clause should they get encouragement.

Coutinho was a shining light for Brazil at the ongoing World Cup before they were eliminated by  Belgium in the quarterfinals. He also shined at the Camp Nou in the second half of last season after he joined the Catalans from Liverpool on January.
