Japan’s Ao Tanaka and Dutch striker Joel Piroe struck late as Leeds came from behind to secure a 3-1 victory over rivals Sheffield United on Monday, extending their lead at the top of the Championship to five points.
The win at Bramall Lane strengthened Leeds’ push for an automatic return to the Premier League, with only the top two teams guaranteed promotion.
It also dealt a significant blow to second-placed Sheffield United in the all-Yorkshire clash.
