Jeremiyah Love is not short on ambition.
The consensus top running back in the 2026 NFL Draft made his goals crystal clear at Notre Dame’s pro day on Tuesday, and they go well beyond getting drafted in the top 10.
“I want to be one of the best of all time,” Love said. “I want to be a Hall of Famer. I want to be a Pro Bowler my very first year. I want to win Offensive Rookie of the Year.”
Love was quick to add that the big talk comes with a plan.
“Goals are goals, but you’ve got to have a process for how you want to achieve those things,” he said. “It’s a lot of big talk, but I have a process and I have a plan for how I’m gonna get there.”
Love backed it up on the field at Notre Dame. Over three seasons, he rushed for 2,882 yards on 433 carries at 6.7 yards per carry with 36 rushing touchdowns. In 2025 alone, he ran for 1,372 yards and 18 scores and added 280 receiving yards and three more touchdowns on 27 catches.
He is considered a complete three-down back who can power through tackles, outrun defenders in the open field and catch passes out of the backfield like a receiver. Some evaluators have drawn comparisons to Hall of Famer LaDainian Tomlinson. NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah ranks him as the second-best overall prospect in the class.
Love said he understands that getting drafted is just the beginning.
“A lot of times, guys get to the league and they’re, ‘I made it.’ No, you haven’t made it,” he said. “You ain’t made it past your first contract. I want to get to my third contract. Then I think I’ve had some type of success.”
The 2026 NFL Draft opens with the first round on April 23.
