Michael Owen has backed Liverpool to return to form in this campaign and compete for the Premier League title.
The Reds have been in poor form in this campaign and they are playing catch-up in the race for the Premier League title now.
They were beaten 4-1 by Napoli in a recent game before returning to form in a 2-1 win against Ajax in the UCL last night.
It has been a tough start to the term for Jurgen Klopp’s men and they have to get back to form quicker if they want to keep their title prospect open.
Michael Owen has now warned that they should not be written off just yet. He said, as quoted by Matchplug:
‘They have had an average start.
‘In the league you don’t want to be giving Manchester City a head start, but it’s nothing they cannot recover from.
‘You don’t turn into a bad team overnight. They will be back, but need to do it before teams get away from them.’
