Manchester United reportedly want to sign at least four key players this summer if they complete the sale of the club.
The Red Devils are in the midst of an ownership struggle, with current owners, the Glazers family, thought to be close to agreeing to sell to British millionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe
They currently sit fourth in the table, one point ahead of Liverpool, who have played a game more. However, with Champions League football looking increasingly likely as the season approaches its end, United are already working on how they intend to shape their squad for next season.
According to The Express, the Red Devils have identified four key areas to improve, with a goalkeeper, right-back, midfielder and a new striker on the list for the summer window.

Current number one David de Gea is set to sign a new deal at Old Trafford, but that will not stop Erik Ten Hag’s men from bringing in a ‘fresh goalkeeper to challenge’ for the starting spot.
Elsewhere, the Red Devils are open to strengthening at right-back, with previous links to Inter Milan’s Denzel Dumfries and Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong a confirmation of their intent. This is despite Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s impressive form of late and Diogo Dalot’s good season.
Ten Hag’s side reportedly wants to sign a new striker due to the inconsistent form of current options Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst.
They could bid for Harry Kane once the takeover is complete but understand that a deal with Tottenham Hotspur could be difficult to negotiate. As such, they are targeting Napoli hitman Victor Osimhen, who has openly expressed his desire to play in the Premier League.
Finally, United are also said to be keen on bringing in another midfield option regardless of what happens with on-loan Bayern Munich midfielder Marcel Sabitzer.
The Old Trafford club want the Austrian on a permanent deal but are believed to be unwilling to pay the £25million valuation Bayern have placed on him.
