Liverpool have confirmed plans to hold a victory parade on May 26th. It will be celebrating their record-equalling 20th English top-flight title following Sunday’s 5-1 demolition of Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield.
It will be the club’s first opportunity to publicly celebrate a league title since the COVID-19 pandemic. Fans were denied the chance to do so after their 2020 Premier League triumph( the club’s first in 30 years).
Arne Slot’s side sealed the crown with four games to spare, opening up a 15-point gap over Arsenal. The 15-kilometre parade will begin at 14:30 local time and is expected to last between three and five hours.
“A Liverpool victory parade is more than football – it’s a celebration of our city’s pride, passion and community spirit,” said Liverpool City Council leader Liam Robinson. He noted that months of behind-the-scenes planning have gone into organizing the large-scale event.
Fans will be eager to line the streets to honour Slot’s remarkable debut season
