Liverpool could lose Roberto Firmino if Robert Lewandoski leaves Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich would make a move for Roberto Firmino if they lose Robert Lewandoski in the summer, according to Ian Wright.

Firmino has been in outstanding form for the Reds this season and he has already netted 23 goals in all competitions. The Brazilian has formed a deadly partnership with the duo of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane and they have been regarded as the deadliest front three in Europe by some sections of the media.

Bayern Munich are hoping to hold on to Lewandoski who appears to be keen on a move to the Santiago Bernabeu, but should they lose the Polish attacker, Wright believes they would move for Firmino as his replacement.

Firmino currently has two years left on his Liverpool contract and he is expected to resume contract talks with the Reds at the end of the season. The Brazilian is also very happy at Anfield and Jurgen Klopp has urged the club to hurriedly tie him down to a new deal as it would be of benefit to both the player and the club.

Firmino is set to feature for Brazil at the FIFA World Cup later this year and if he shines,  Liverpool could be in a tough position should they fail to get him to sign a new contract before the competition.
