Hakon Arnar Haraldsson’s first-ever Ligue 1 double secured a 2-1 victory for Lille over Monaco at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy, moving them to 3rd position in the standings(temporarily).
Lille put in so much effort for the win but will celebrate their return to the Champions League qualification spots, as well as consecutive league victories for the first time since October. Meanwhile, Monaco’s struggles away from home continue, with no wins in six road matches and weak defenses becoming worrisome in their push to finish top four in the League.
