Celta Vigo’s shared a point each with Las Palmas on Monday night. Despite having more possession, they were held to a 1-1 draw at Balaídos by Las Palmas, who lost goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen to injury in the first half.
Celta dominated early on, with Alfon Gonzalez help. However, Borja Iglesias‘s shot was saved by Cillessen before he had to leave the field due to an injury. Dinko Horkas came on as a substitute keeper for Las Palmas.
Celta took the lead just before halftime when Alfon curled a shot past Horkas after a setup from Iglesias. In the second half, Las Palmas’ Moleiro equalized, securing a point for his side.
