Marco Reus is staying in Los Angeles. The LA Galaxy have signed the veteran midfielder to a contract extension through December 2027, the club announced Saturday. Reus, 36, joined the Galaxy in the summer of 2024 and has made 42 appearances across all competitions, contributing nine goals and 13 assists. He was also part of the squad that claimed a record sixth MLS Cup title in his debut season with the club.
“Marco brings an incredible level of quality, experience, and leadership to our group,” said Galaxy general manager Will Kuntz. “His professionalism and daily standards elevate everyone around him, and his impact both in the locker room and on the pitch is immeasurable.”
Before arriving in MLS, Reus spent the bulk of his career at Borussia Dortmund, making 429 appearances for the Bundesliga club and registering 170 goals and 131 assists. He also earned 48 caps for the German national team, scoring 15 goals.
