Southampton manager Ivan Juric is urging his players to avoid being tagged as the worst team in Premier League history. They are currently at risk of facing relegation to the Championship.
With just 9 points so far, the Saints are sitting at the bottom of the table, 17 points away from safety.
They have only managed two wins all season and are at risk of finishing with fewer points than Derby County’s 2007/08 season.
As Southampton prepares to face Crystal Palace on Wednesday, Juric, emphasized the need to win. “The team has to be competing and try to do our best. We have to be really motivated,” He said.
“I don’t want it to be that we are the worst team in the history of Premier League. If we can be not the last on the table, we have to do our best,” Juric added.
