Two European heavyweights, Inter Milan and Bayern Munich, have been placed in the same Champions League group and they will face each other in this opening group game of the term.
The Italians missed out on their league title last season, but they finished second and remain one of the clubs to beat in Serie A.
They would be desperate to do better this term, but they might want to even do much more in Europe where Liverpool kicked them out at the round of 16 stages last season.
Bayern is one of Europe’s best clubs and they would be in the mood to the points from their first match of the campaign.
Bolstered by the signing of Sadio Mane, the Bavarians will hope they do not miss their former goal machine, Robert Lewandowski.
Inter will present them with a strong obstacle, but the Germans have been successful in the competition in recent terms and they will be confident about getting a result here.
The last time both clubs met in the UCL is in 2011. Each side won the away game and it could be the case here again.
