England captain Harry Kane hopes to become his country’s most-capped player while aiming for World Cup glory in 2026.
The 31-year-old striker earned his 105th cap in Monday’s 3-0 over Latvia, scoring his 71st international goal. He is now just 20 appearances shy of Peter Shilton‘s all-time England record.
“It’s definitely there. I’ve made it clear I want to play for England as long as possible,” Harry said.
“Of course, leading up to the World Cup, there are plenty of games before then and hopefully eight games in that tournament.”
