Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo will not play Sunday night against the Orlando Magic. The team continues to manage his return from a right calf strain that kept him sidelined for 15 consecutive games.
The decision comes with Milwaukee playing on the second night of a back-to-back. Antetokounmpo put up 27 points, nine rebounds and eight assists in just 27 minutes Saturday, helping the Bucks snap a four-game losing streak with a 113-99 win over the Utah Jazz.
The Greek Freak has appeared in three games since returning from the calf injury that cost him five weeks of action. It is the second time this season he has dealt with a right calf issue.
Sunday’s absence will be his 30th missed game of the season, a career high. He had never missed more than 21 games in a single season before this year.
On the season, Antetokounmpo is averaging 27.5 points, 9.9 rebounds and 5.5 assists across 33 appearances.
