France, Netherlands, and England have qualified for the round of 16 in the Euro 2024 tournament. The teams’ qualification was confirmed after Albania lost 1-0 to Spain in their last match of Group B. 

The three nations secured the spots in the round of 16 after finishing top two and third placed respectively in their various groups. 

France is on four points, England on five points, and Netherlands have four points, which they secured from their recently concluded matches on Wednesday. The English team had a 0-0 draw with Slovenia in Group A, Les Blues drew 1-1 with Poland, while Netherlands lost 2-3 to Austria to emerge as a third-placed team.

In a shocking twist, Austria topped Group D, beating out France who were predicted as group favourites. Austria had 6 points, while Netherlands secured a third-placed finish.

England won Group A despite not winning Slovenia outrightly, Denmark did not beat Serbia but they are in second place for this group, while Slovenia also shares points with the Danish team.

Netherlands joined the round of 16 despite losing to Austria but did not end up in top two as previously predicted, neither did they win their group. 

Currently, England is the leader for Group A and Austria are the group leaders for Group D, with France coming in at number two.
