FC Cincinnati sign Evander from the Portland Timbers in record-breaking MLS trade

FC Cincinnati made MLS history on Monday by signing star midfielder Evander from the Portland Timbers.  

The Designated Player contract between 26 year old Evander and Cincy is worth $12 million, plus up to $150k in bonuses and is valid through 2027 with an option for 2028.

In the contract, Portland also retains a share of any future transfer and may receive up to an extra $150,000 if certain performance metrics are met.
