Manchester City have hit the jackpot again after they reached an agreement with kit makers Puma worth £50 million per season.
The Cityzens have been with Nike on a reported £20 million per season, but that agreement is set to end after this season and the club’s leaders were looking for better terms. The figure for this new deal is reportedly same as the one Chelsea signed with Nike this season.
However, City would still be about £25 million behind neighbours Manchester United who are in the third year of their 10 years £75 million per season deal with Adidas.
Puma are reportedly currently paying Arsenal £30 million per season, the same figure Tottenham gets from Nike, as the brands continue to fight for the best teams in the league.
Manchester City announced a record breaking £473.4 million in revenues last year and are on course to break that record again with deals of this sort.
They currently top the Premier League table with 8 points and look likely to run away with the title before May next year.
