DeAndre Hopkins is heading into his 14th NFL season without a team, and he knows exactly where he would like to land.
The veteran wide receiver told TMZ he would welcome a reunion with Kyler Murray, who recently signed with the Minnesota Vikings.
“Kyler, that’s my bro, man. Kyler’s like family,” Hopkins said. “If Kyler needed me, if the Vikings need me, they know I’ll be there.”
Hopkins and Murray spent three seasons together in Arizona, with their best year coming in 2020 when Hopkins caught 115 passes for 1,407 yards and six touchdowns. The two connected on some memorable moments, including the famous Hail Murray touchdown against Buffalo in Week 10 of that season.
Hopkins played 17 games for the Baltimore Ravens in 2025 but was used sparingly, catching 22 passes for 330 yards and two touchdowns in three starts. It was the lowest yardage total of his career.
At 33, Hopkins is no longer the dominant receiver he once was, but he can still contribute as a big-bodied target and red-zone option. Minnesota lost slot receiver Jalen Nailor to Las Vegas in free agency and could be in the market for a low-cost veteran to fill that void behind Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison.
Hopkins said his motivation at this stage goes beyond his own production.
“I just want to be around good people that love the game,” he said. “I’ve played this game 13 seasons, so I think it’s a blessing to be able to help young players with their development.”
