After outspending every European team in the January transfer window, Chelsea will focus on achieving success in the Premier League when they host London rivals Fulham this Friday.
Last month, the Blues reportedly spent £288 million on transfers to boost a struggling squad. Yet, they come into this tie with just two wins from seven matches since the restart (D2, L3), leaving them ten points adrift of the Premier League top four.
However, they are unbeaten in their last two games (W1, D1) and will look to make it three games without defeat for the first time since Graham Potter’s first month at the club.

However, the former Brighton manager has to down some demons to win this game as he has never beaten Fulham in four personal H2H meetings (D2, L2). He has also already lost twice to Fulham manager Marco Silva this term (once when he was still Brighton manager).
Silva has overseen a remarkable return to the Premier League for Fulham, who currently sit closer to the top four than Chelsea. The Cottagers are sitting in seventh position, just five points behind fifth-placed Tottenham.
However, they have failed to win any of their last three competitive games (D1, L2) and come into this tie without a clean sheet in their last four games.
Given those numbers, football prediction will suggest this game could be a tough affair for both sides. But we expect at least over 1.5 goals scored by both clubs.
