Chelsea star, Ruben Loftus-Cheek is set for showdown talks with the Blues as he seeks clarity over his future and role in the first team this season.
The World Cup star failed to join an English team this summer with hopes that he can stake a claim for a place in the club’s first team.
He has also been assured by Maurizio Sarri that he has a place in their first team. However, he has failed to make it into their matchday squad for any of their first two games of the season.
Sun Sport claims that Loftus-Cheek has asked to be given clarification about his chances of making it into the first team as he fears he may lose his place in England’s national team if he doesn’t play enough games this season.
He is behind the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Jorginho and Ross Barkley in the pecking order, the arrival of Matteo Kovacic from Real Madrid also increases competition for a place in the Blues’ midfield.
