Chelsea are preparing to offer Eden Hazard a new deal to avoid losing him to Real Madrid next summer.
The Blues are currently under pressure to secure the future of some of their star men as Real Madrid continue to circle the Belgian duo of Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois.
None have committed their long-term future to the Blues and it seems as though one or two of them might be leaving in the summer.
However, Daily Mail is reporting that Chelsea have offered Hazard a new deal worth £300, 000 per week to remain with them beyond this season.
Hazard’s current contract does not expire until 2020, and the Blues have the upper hand in negotiation should he ask to leave.
Real Madrid considers Hazard as one of the star men they want to form their next batch of Galacticos and they are prepared to move for him next summer.
However, it seems as though Zinedine Zidane is the person keen on signing the Belgian and if he gets sacked by Los Blancos at the end of the season the deal could be off.
Hazard is reluctant to sign a new deal after the Blues slipped out of the top four last weekend and may ask for a transfer if they fail to qualify for the Champions League next season.
