Los Angeles Chargers star Keenan Allen reached a historic milestone Sunday, becoming the fastest player in NFL history to record 1,000 career receptions.
Allen hit the mark during the Chargers’ 27-10 loss to the Washington Commanders, snagging a 4-yard pass from Justin Herbert in the second quarter for catch No. 1,000.
The 32-year-old wideout achieved the feat in just 159 games, breaking Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison’s previous record of 167 games.
Keenan Allen finished with five catches for 58 yards, bringing his career total to 1,003 receptions, which moves him past Hines Ward into 15th place all-time.
“It’s an honor to be mentioned with legends like Marvin Harrison and Hines Ward,” Keenan Allen said postgame.
