The NBA has fined the Cleveland Cavaliers $250,000. The league says the team violated the Player Participation Policy.
The investigation found that Darius Garland was healthy enough to play in one of the two games on November 23 and November 24. The issue was which game he would play.
Cleveland played the Clippers on November 23. That game was not televised nationally. Garland played in that one.
Cleveland then held him out on Nov. 24 against the Raptors. That game was nationally televised. The league ruled he should have been available for it.
Because of that, the NBA issued the fine.
