Chelsea and Manchester United managers fighting for PSG job

Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho have been trading insults for the past couple of weeks, but the battle is set to be about their next career moves. According to Daily Mail, PSG are considering sacking Unai Emery after this season, and the two Premier League managers are at the top of their list of replacements. The ultimate aim of PSG owners is to win the UEFA Champions League and become a force in European football. However, their Spanish manager has failed to achieve that so far and even failed to win the French league title last season. This season, he has been equipped with the likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, failure in Europe would lead to his sacking. Antonio Conte is currently unhappy with his club’s hierarchy after they failed to help him land his summer targets, and Sports Mail is claiming this would be his last season at Stamford Bridge. Jose Mourinho is also not happy with his progress in the league this season and has seen his side fall from the top of the Premier League being more than 15 points behind leaders, Manchester City. The two managers have their contracts expiring in the summer of 2019, and PSG are hoping they would be able to tempt them to move to Paris.

Tottenham turn their attention to Barcelona star after missing out on signing Ross Barkley

Tottenham are looking to sign Andre Gomes from Barcelona this month. The Lilywhites were beaten by Chelsea to the signature of Ross Barkley this month and Mauricio is still keen to add an extra body to his midfield this month. Gomes has had an underwhelming season this time around as he has made just 2 league starts under Ernesto Valverde so far. The Catalans recently completed the signing of Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool, a move that has automatically pushed Gomes down the pecking order. Pochettino tried to sign the Portuguese star last summer, but he failed as Gomes decided to stay and fight for his place at Camp Nou. That fight has not been successful and he is now looking for a move away. With the World Cup in six months time, Gomes knows a  lack of first-team action would see him miss out on the showpiece as the Portuguese national team is blessed with several top midfielders. Pochettino wants to reduce the burden on the shoulders of Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli with the signing of Gomes.

PSG star considers snubbing Manchester United for Liverpool

PSG star Lucas Moura is looking to dump Manchester United for Liverpool. The Red Devils have been in discussion with PSG of signing the out-of-favour winger this month, but discussions are taking too long to conclude. Sun Sport is reporting that Liverpool have joined the hunt for his signature and his representatives are paying attention to the Reds’ offer. Liverpool are looking for an extra attacking midfielder this month after selling Coutinho to Barcelona, but they have not been able to get any deal done. Jurgen Klopp is reportedly an admirer of Moura and has asked the club to try and sign him. PSG are desperate to sell and are looking to get around £35 million from the sale of Moura. However, Manchester United have been discussing a loan deal with an option of making it permanent after six months. It is unclear if Liverpool would be willing to sign him permanently at that price this month, but the Reds surely do have the cash to spend. Moura has played less than 80minutes of football this season as he remains one of the high-profile victims of the arrival of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Julian Draxler.

AS Monaco have previously stated that Lemar is not for sale this month, however, if they get a huge bid, they would be forced to listen to it.

Arsene Wenger confirms that former Arsenal star has joined Valencia

Francis Coquelin has completed his transfer to Spanish side Valencia. The French man had fallen out of favor at the Emirates following the resurgence of Jack Wilshere this season. He had been looking for first team action, but Arsene Wenger could no longer guarantee he would play regularly, so Valencia swooped. The Spaniards had been looking for a loan deal worth £2.6 million with the option of making the move permanent for £10.4 million in the summer. It is unclear if he joined on loan or on an outright sale. According to Sun Sport, when asked if the midfielder had joined the La Liga challengers, Wenger replied “Yes.” Crystal Palace and West Ham were also interested in signing Coquelin, but he chose to go to Spain as he looks forward to playing in the Champion League next season. Valencia are currently third on the La Liga table, five points ahead of Real Madrid who are fourth. He represents the first departure from the Emirates this month, but would surely not be the last with the likes of Mathieu Debuchy and Alexis Sanchez also close to leaving the Gunners. Liverpool could get their summer signing this month if they pay this extra fee

Liverpool are set to complete the signing of Naby Keita this month. The Reds have struck an agreement with RB Leipzig that would see the Guinean join them in the summer for £55 million; however, the transfer of Philippe Coutinho means they need an extra body in midfield and they want to bring Keita in now. A report in Germany via Sun Sport is claiming that the Reds would love Keita to join this month, and RB Leipzig may be forced to agree to such a move. The report claims that the Germans are currently struggling to meet the financial requirements of Financial Fair Play having failed to qualify for the Champions League round of 16. A move for Keita this month they reckon would cost Liverpool an extra fee of £13 – £17 million. This fee would not be too much for Liverpool to pay as they have just collected £105 million upfront from Barcelona for the transfer of Philippe Coutinho. Keita is also said to be keen to fast-track his arrival on Merseyside. If an agreement is reached, that would take the total fee for the transfer of Keita to around £75 million.

Chelsea ready to sell this out-of-favour first team attacker this month

Chelsea are ready to allow Michy Batshuayi leave them on loan this month. The Belgian has been out of favor in Antonio Conte’s team and has been limited to just substitute appearances this season. Times when their club record signing Alvaro Morata has been unfit this season, Conte has played  Eden Hazard as a false nine instead of giving Batshuayi a chance. According to Mail Sport, the Blues are looking to sign another attacker this month, but Batshuayi has to make way first. Spanish giants Sevilla are currently his most serious suitors as they look to finish inside the Spanish top four again this season. Batshuayi have made 48 appearances for the Blues since joining in the summer of 2016, however, over 50% of those appearances have come as substitute appearances. He was the second choice behind Diego Costa in his first season, and the arrival of Alvaro Morata last summer has pushed him further down the pecking order. The Blues are looking for an attacker with Premier League experience to become the second choice for Morata. They have reportedly decided to make a move for either of Christian Benteke or Andy Carroll.

His form hasn’t gone unnoticed and several top European sides are looking to swoop on his signature this month.’ Surprisingly, he has a release clause which is just £21 million a figure that would be too easy for any Premier League team to shell out this month. Pep Guardiola is also interested, and with his team 15 points ahead of their closest rival, the youngster may well choose to join them.
