Real Madrid and plotting a swoop for Manchester City star, Raheem Sterling as the England attacker continues to reject the Cityzens offer of a new contract. Sterling has just two years left on his current deal and he has been in negotiations with the Premier League winners over extending his current deal. However, both parties seem to be very far from reaching an agreement. Sterling scored 23 goals last season and he was hoping that a good performance at the World Cup would see his value skyrocket, but he wasn’t very impressive in the competition even though the Three Lions reached the semifinals. Reports claim that Real Madrid are monitoring his situation and Los Blancos plan to make a move for him next summer. They are hoping he would not have signed an extension at that time and would make a similar cut-price move as Thibaut Courtois did this summer. Sterling has said that he would love to test himself outside of England when he leaves Manchester City, Los Blancos would be a big chance he would want to take.

With three days remaining for the European transfer window, Premier League clubs who have seen their window of bringing in new players closed early have to stop other European sides from signing their top stars. One club who may have to deal with players leaving, is Arsenal. The Gunners made a couple of new signings this summer, and with a new manager at the helm some star names have failed to make the starting eleven, and are understandably considering their future. According to Sun Sport, the Gunners’ striker Alexandre Lacazette is considering his future at the Emirates after falling down the pecking order under Unai Emery. With the Spaniard dismissing the possibility of playing with two strikers earlier in the season, Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang has been getting the nod to start as the sole striker ahead of the former Olympique Lyonaise man. The Gabonese attacker has not impressed and he is still looking for his first goals for the Gunners, yet Emery believes he is a better option to Lacazette. Reports from France claims that at least three top European sides are looking to sign him, and he is giving serious considerations to their offers. Lacazette scored 17 goals for the Gunners last season, and he came on to inspire a 3-1 win over West Ham at the weekend.

Chelsea may have signed two new midfielders this summer, but the Blues are not ready to allow any of their important players leave Stamford Bridge even on a temporary basis. One player who would definitely be affected by the signing of the new midfielders is Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and the Blues academy product has been desperate to secure a move away. However, Chelsea have told the former Crystal Palace loanee that he cannot leave as he is part of Maurizio Sarri’s plan for the new season. He has played just 22 minutes this season and was hoping that the Blues would allow him further his development at another European side, but that would not be happening. According to reports, Chelsea have rejected loan offers from AS Monaco and Schalke 04 for his services o, and this has left the midfielder unhappy. Loftus-Cheek played for England at the World Cup and he fears that he would lose his place in the Three Lions line up if he doesn’t play as much as he did at Crystal Palace last season.

Tottenham had a record-breaking summer in the last transfer window as they became the first team ever to go through the transfer window without making a single signing. However, new reports have thrown more light on their business dealings and it appears that the Lilywhites did not want it to be that way always. Fresh reports from Goal claim that Tottenham did attempt to sign a striker on deadline day but failed in their attempt. According to the reports, the Lilywhites made a £25 million move for Tammy Abraham, but Chelsea turned down their offer before the transfer window was shut. Abraham has been one of the success stories of the Blues famed academy and the club believe that he has a future with them. Spurs wanted Abraham who has spent the last two seasons away on loan to help Harry Kane with the goalscoring burden, something Vincent Jansen and Diego Llorente have both failed to do so far.

Manchester City star Fabian Delph has become a major target for Turkish Super Lig side, Besiktas ahead of the end of the European transfer window. The World Cup star has fallen down the pecking order and the Turkish side are said to be prepared to offer him a way out of his misery. Last season he would have been sold, but an injury to Benjamin Mendy forced Pep Guardiola to convert him into a left back for much of the season. However, Mendy is now fully fit and that has reduced the prospect of Delph getting a chance in the first team. Reports on Sun Sport claims that the former Aston Villa man has been discussed by the president of the two clubs and the Turks hope that he can be convinced with the promise of more playing time to make the switch to Turkey. Delph played his way into England’s squad for the last World Cup and he would be given no further consideration if he doesn’t play enough first-team football.

Chelsea star, Ruben Loftus-Cheek is set for showdown talks with the Blues as he seeks clarity over his future and role in the first team this season. The World Cup star failed to join an English team this summer with hopes that he can stake a claim for a place in the club’s first team. He has also been assured by Maurizio Sarri that he has a place in their first team. However, he has failed to make it into their matchday squad for any of their first two games of the season. Sun Sport claims that Loftus-Cheek has asked to be given clarification about his chances of making it into the first team as he fears he may lose his place in England’s national team if he doesn’t play enough games this season. He is behind the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Jorginho and Ross Barkley in the pecking order, the arrival of Matteo Kovacic from Real Madrid also increases competition for a place in the Blues’ midfield.

Manchester manager, Pep Guardiola has begun making plans to add yet another superstar to his starstudded line up in the next transfer window. The former Barcelona boss signed only Riyad Mahrez last summer, but he had also wanted to sign a midfielder and had an agreement in place to sign Jorginho, however, the Italian decided to move to Chelsea instead. Guardiola also saw his hopes of using Douglas Luiz as a backup midfielder dashed after the Brazilian failed to secure a work permit. Sun Sport is reporting that Guardiola is now plotting to sign Wolves’ Ruben Neves for £60 million in the next transfer window. Neves was the star of Wolves’ Championship winning team last season and he has continued to impress in the Premier League. The 21 years old scored one and set up another goal in Wolves’ 2-2 draw against Everton in their first Premier League game of the season. Manchester City’s next away match is against the Premier League new boys and Pep Guardiola would be looking to run the rule on him yet again.

Chelsea fans have been given a timely update on the future of Eden Hazard by no other person than the Belgian attacker himself. Hazard has been a target of Real Madrid for the past few months and he has openly flirted with them as well, he was expected to leave the Blues before the English transfer window closed so that they would have enough time to replace him, however, that hasn’t been the case. Hazard has now committed his short-term future to the FA Cup holders but he did not commit long-term future to them. He told RMC; “I am happy at Chelsea for now.  I have two years left on my contract, and we will see what happens. “Leave this year?  I won’t go.  The transfer window in England is already closed. “Players can leave, but clubs can’t make new signings. “It would be strange for Chelsea’s people to let me go without signing anyone to replace me. “You could see once again in the Arsenal game that the fans love me, and I am happy here. “We will see what happens in a year or two’s time. “You know what I said after the World Cup finals.   I am happy at Chelsea and I don’t yet want to talk about leaving. “Plenty of things have been said about me – a lot of rubbish and everything.”

Chelsea have suffered a major setback in their bid to sign a replacement for Real Madrid target, Eden Hazard. The Blues have been looking for a replacement for the Belgian star who has two years left on his current deal, and one of the players they have been targetting to move in as his replacement is Leon Bailey of Bayer Leverkusen. However, the Jamaican has just signed a new long-term contract that would see him remain at the German club for the next 5 seasons at least. Bailey, 21, was the breakthrough star of Bayer last season and his performance has even prompted Gareth Southgate to consider handing him an English debut if he can prove his English heritage. The Blues are not the only team looking to bring Bailey to the Premier League as Arsenal have also made enquiries about his signature in the past year, while AS Roma also considered making a bid for him after missing out on signing Malcom. His suitors would now have to pay significantly more than they would have paid before to sign him.

Real Madrid are set to raid Tottenham yet again as they begin to plan for life without Luka Modric. The Croatian who led his national team to the final of this summer’s World Cup in Russia has asked Los Blancos to allow him to join Inter Milan. The Italians have reportedly made an offer for his services, but Los Blancos do not want to lose another star man this summer after Cristiano Ronaldo joined Juventus. Despite insisting that Modric is going nowhere, the European champions have begun to look for his replacement, and their number one target is Christian Eriksen. Eriksen was signed to replace Modric who joined Madrid in 2011, and the Dane has become the fulcrum of Mauricio Pochettino’s side. With no new player coming to Spurs this summer, Eriksen would likely not be sold, but a move next summer would be a possibility if he continues to shine in the Premier League.
