Manchester United vs Southampton: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

After their incredible outing in the Europa League, Manchester United will return to Premier League action this Sunday when they welcome struggling Southampton to Old Trafford.  The Red Devils’ put one leg in the next Round of the Europa League thanks to a 4-1 win over Real Betis on Thursday. The win and performance contrasted their 7-0 loss to Liverpool in the Premier League last weekend. The Old Trafford side were embarrassed by Jurgen Klopp’s side at Anfield on Sunday, with that loss ending a run of eleven consecutive games without defeat. They now sit 14 points behind league leaders Arsenal, so their chances of winning the title look very slim now.  Read more: AS Roma vs Sassuolo: Preview and Expert Football Prediction Yet, having scored four times in midweek, the mood at Old Trafford will be good, especially as they are unbeaten in 20 consecutive matches at Old Trafford (W18, D2). But if a team can be hopeful of getting a result at Old Trafford, it has to be Southampton, who have recorded just four defeats from their last nine visits to Old Trafford (W2, D3).  The Saints kept their survival hopes alive with a 1-0 win over Leicester City last time. The win took them off the foot of the PL table, even though they remain level on points with bottom-placed Bournemouth.  With 12 of their 21 points this season coming on the road, the visitors will sense a chance to add another point to the board at Old Trafford.  Meanwhile, given that Man Utd have netted at least twice in 15 successive home matches, while Southampton have kept just two clean sheets in their last eleven games, we can expect another high-scoring affair at Old Trafford on Sunday.  So an over 2.5 goals game is the best prediction for this game.

Bournemouth vs Liverpool: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Bournemouth and Liverpool will meet at Vitality Stadium this Saturday for the 27th Round of the 2022/23 Premier League season. Both sides are fighting at the other end of the spectrum, with the hosts sitting rock bottom of the Premier League after a narrow 3-2 loss to Arsenal last weekend.  Despite leading the Premier League leaders 2-0 up till the 60th minute, Gary O’Neil’s succumbed to late pressure from Mikel Arteta’s men, with that the third time this season they’ve taken such a lead only to suffer defeat. Read more: Crystal Palace vs Manchester City: Preview and Expert Football Prediction The hosts have been conceding late goals recently, with the Cherries of the PL’s worst defence conceding a league-high eight goals after the 80th minute. However, the Vitality Stadium faithful will feel they can play a part in ensuring that tally isn’t added to against a rampant Liverpool side, which they have lost to in the last seven games.  The Reds are still on cloud nine after a 7-0 win over their fierce rivals Manchester United last time. The win made it five games without defeat for Jurgen Klopp’s men in the league. It was also their fifth clean sheet in a  row, and it took them to fifth position on the table, three points behind Tottenham, who have played a game more.  Liverpool beat Bournemouth 9-0 at Anfield in the reverse fixture, their seventh successive victory over their hosts, scoring a mammoth 28 goals and conceding only once in that time. Such a dominant record should make the Reds confident of winning this game and (at least momentarily) leapfrog Tottenham Hotspur into fourth place. That said, we can expect over 2.5 goals scored in this game.

Crystal Palace vs Manchester City: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Struggling Crystal Palace will look to end a terrible run of form this Saturday when they welcome Manchester City to Selhurst Park in the 27th Round of the 2022/23 PL season.  The Eagles have been in free fall in 2023 and come into this tie without a league win this year. Their last outing was a 1-0 loss to Aston Villa and extended their winless run n all competitions to ten games (D5, L5). The goalless outing also means that Patrick Vieira’s side have not had a shot and target in over three hours of competitive action.  Although they remain in 12th position, they are gradually sliding towards the relegation zone, with just five points now separating them from 18th-placed Everton. However, Palace boss Patrick Vieira was defiant in the build-up to this clash, stating, “we know we can compete against teams like Manchester City.”  Read more: Bayern Munich vvs Augsburg: Preview and Expert Football Prediction With two clean sheets in their last three head-to-heads with City (W1, D1, L1), Palace will fancy their chances of recording a positive result against City. However, Pep GUardiola’s side are a formidable side in attack after scoring six goals across their last three competitive games. The visitors kept up the pace with league leaders Arsenal with a 2-0 win over Newcastle United last time, with five points the difference between both teams. However, with Mikel Arteta’s men playing on Sunday, Guardiola’s charges can crank up the pressure by provisionally cutting the gap to two points. But this game will not be a walk in the park for the Cityzens as each of their last nine goals against Palace have arrived after halftime. Also, the fact that the Eagles have won the lion’s share of their points (14/23) after conceding the opening goal (W4, D2, L8) means that another long evening is on the cards for City.  Click here to get the best soccer predictions today.

Brentford vs Fulham: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Fulham will look to keep their quest for a top-six finish alive when they travel to Brentford Community Stadium on Monday to face fellow Londoners and European hopefuls Brentford. Both teams are flying high in the Premier League table, sitting inside the top half after more than half of the league games. The hosts sit in ninth position after 23 games with eight wins, eleven draws and four losses. Only league leaders Arsenal and Newcastle United (both three) have recorded fewer losses this season than Thomas Frank’s men. Read more: Real Betis vs Real Madrid: Preview and Expert Football Prediction They come into this fixture without a league loss since October (W5, D6), so they will go into this tie confident of getting a win against a Fulham side who sit four points ahead of them. The visitors are currently occupying the seventh position, having played two more games than their hosts. So they will be desperate to win this tie to ensure they can remain close to the top four ahead of a crucial run of games. Marco Silva’s men booked an FA Cup quarter-final spot last time out, thanks to a 2-0 win over Leeds United. But the win came at the expense of key midfield player João Palhinha, who begins a two-game suspension here.  But given that they are unbeaten in all but one PL game against sides beginning the round below themselves (W11, D5, L1), they will fancy their chances against Brentford.Click here to get direct win predictions

Liverpool vs Manchester United: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Liverpool and Manchester United will renew their longtime rivalry in the Premier this Sunday when both sides meet at Anfield for the 62nd Premier League meeting. Clashes between both sides have often been top-of-the-table clashes. However, this time both are fighting for separate crowns this season. While the Red Devils are fighting to win the PL title, Liverpool are fighting to finish in the top four places. Read more: Atletico Madrid vs Sevilla: Preview and Expert Football Prediction The hosts started the season poorly but have hit a purple patch recently, as evidenced by their four-game unbeaten run in the Premier League ahead of this game (W3, D1). They beat Wolves 2-0 in their last outing to make it four league games without conceding a goal. With just six points now separating them and fourth-placed Tottenham, they will be desperate to win this game to close the gap to three points with a game to spare. They are unbeaten in their last seven home games against Man United (W4, D3), so they will fancy their chances of getting a win.  However, the Red Devils have proved tough opponents in their recent games. They come into this tie on an eleven-game unbeaten run (W9, D2) and at least one goal in 28 consecutive games. That run landed them a Carabao Cup last week and should have put them in a confident mood ahead of this game. However, no PL side has earned more points than the Red Devils’ 23 (W7, D2, L1) since the World Cup, so they will present a stern test for Jürgen Klopp’s side.Meanwhile, given that goals have been scored in both halves in nine of the last eleven H2H matches, we can place a ‘Goal First Half’ bet for this game.

Manchester City vs Newcastle United: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Manchester City will welcome top-four hopefuls Newcastle United to the Etihad this Saturday for another crucial game in the Premier League title race. The Cityzens are looking to make it three wins on the bounce this time after recording a pair of 1-1 draws in the Premier League and Champions League two weeks ago. They come into this tie on the back of two consecutive wins over Bournemouth (4-1) and Bristol City (3-0) in the FA Cup. With top-of-the-table Arsenal beating Everton in midweek, Pep Guardiola’s side come into this fixture sitting five points behind the Gunners. However, they remain in the title race and will feel confident about winning this game as they have won the last 13 PL home H2Hs.  Read more: Stuttgart vs Bayern Munich: Preview and Expert Football Prediction Newcastle will be desperate to avoid defeat here, as another loss would set a joint record for the longest-losing away run against a single opponent in the competition. The Magpies started the season well but have endured some poor results recently. However, they come into this game looking to bounce back from a disappointing 2-0 loss to Manchester United in the Carabao Cup final.  However, they remain on course for a top-four finish as they currently sit in fifth position, having lost just two league games this season  (W10, D11). They also come into this game with a decent away record, with their current eight away games unbeaten (W4, D4) their longest unbeaten run for an away team in the PL. They also possess a rock-solid backline that has conceded the fewest goals in the league away from home (seven), so they will likely provide stern opposition here. Arsenal vs Bournemouth: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Bournemouth will look to do the impossible when they travel to London to face the in-form Premier League leaders Arsenal. The Gunners are a team in good form, having dispatched three Premier League teams in a row. Their latest victim was Everton, who they defeated 4-0 in midweek. That win over the Toffees marked the 12th time they’ve scored 4+ goals against Everton in the PL – a record for one side against another in the competition.  Read more: Borussia Dortmund vs RB Leipzig: Preview and Expert Football Prediction Mikel Arteta’s side will now look to record another big win over a struggling side this weekend when the host Bournemouth. They look primed to do that as they come into this tie on the back of eight consecutive PL victories over newly-promoted sides. And considering they’ve beaten Bournemouth in all five of their PL home H2Hs, by an aggregate score of 14-2, another over 2.5 goals performance here might not surprise. Bournemouth will be desperate for another embarrassing outing, though, having fallen to a 4-1 defeat to Manchester City last weekend. The Cherries have been picked apart by many of the top teams this season, and they have the worst defensive record in the league to show for that, having conceded 48 goals this season. They are now in the thick of the relegation battle and will need to improve their league away returns if they want to survive this season (W2, D2, L8). Only bottom-placed Southampton, having lost more games on the road than Bournemouth, although they did end an eight-match winless PL away run (D2, L6) with a 1-0 victory over Wolves in their last away outing.

Liverpool vs Wolves: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Liverpool will look to continue their quest for redemption this season when they welcome Wolves to Anfield on Wednesday. The Reds terrible season continued last time with another frustrating result in London, where they were held to a goalless draw against Crystal Palace. The result made it three games without defeat in the PL and was their third clean sheet in a row. Read more: Bristol City vs Manchester City: Preview and Expert Football Prediction Yet, it made their chances of qualifying for the Champions League slim as they are currently a distant nine points off Tottenham in fourth position, having played two games less. They will now play one of those outstanding games at Anfield on Wednesday and will be desperate for a win to keep their hopes of a top-four finish alive. Meanwhile, Wolves are fighting for their lives at the other end of the table. The visitors are sitting in 15th position, three points ahead of 18th-placed Everton.  They come into this game in relatively good shape, having suffered only one defeat in their last four games (W2, D1). Part of those wins was a 3-0 win over Liverpool three weeks ago. So they will now travel to Merseyside with history to make as they seek their first league double over the Reds since 1950/51.  However, Wolves have often been the prey and not the predator at Anfield, as they have lost 18 of their last 20 league visits there (W2). Arsenal vs Everton: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

It is a revenge mission for Arsenal this Wednesday as they host Everton in the rescheduled seventh-round fixture of the 2022/23 Premier League season. The Gunners suffered a rare defeat to the Merseyside club three weeks ago, falling to a 1-0 loss. That loss began a series of poor results for Mikel Arteta’s side, who went on a three-game winless run in the PL (D1, L2), eventually reducing their lead at the top of the table. But they seem to have bounced back now, with back-to-back wins over Aston Villa and Leicester City most recently. The win over the Foxes gave them their first clean sheet in six league outings and gave them a two-point lead at the top. Read more: Juventus vs Torino: Preview and Expert Football Prediction Having played a game less, this match affords them the opportunity to extend the gap at the top to five points with a win. And given that they have lost just one of the last 26 home PL meetings (W21, D4) and just once at home this PL campaign (W8, D2), they will highly fancy their chances of winning this game. Meanwhile, since defeating Everton in his first game in charge, Sean Dyche has lost twice and one in three PL games. His most recent loss was a 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa, a result that kept them firmly rooted in the relegation zone. They will travel to the Emirates looking to win away from home against a team starting a match at the top of the table for the first time since September 1986 (since D5, L19). However, they might fancy their chances here because they’ve beaten the Gunners in four of the last five H2Hs (L1). Click here to get the correct prediction of this game.

Tottenham vs Chelsea: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Chelsea will travel to North London this Sunday to face London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League. Both sides are currently struggling for form and results. But Spurs are at least enjoying better results and are ahead of the Blues by eleven points. Their most recent 2-0 over West Ham, plus Newcastle United’s loss to Liverpool, moved them into fourth position in the table. With the Magpies not in PL action this weekend, they will be desperate to open up a four-point gap to the rest of the top four contestants. Read more: Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid: Preview and Expert Football Prediction However, this fixture always proves too difficult for them, with just seven wins out of 61 H2Hs in the PL era (D21, L33).  Only Manchester United (39) have beaten them more times in the league. Chelsea have won nine of the last 12 H2Hs in all competitions between both sides (D2, L1). Yet the Blues are struggling and have won once in their last eight PL outings (D4, L3). They have struggled to score goals, with their last ten games in all competitions seeing them score just four times.  But they have scored an average of two goals per game from their last three PL visits to Tottenham (W3), a record that may provide inspiration to end an ongoing seven-match winless run on the road in the Premier League.
