Liverpool vs Fulham: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Liverpool will look to continue their march higher up the table when they welcome Fulham to Anfield this Wednesday. Just a few weeks ago, the prospect of the hosts not featuring in European competition next season was a genuine reality, with Fulham the side most thought would crack the top six. But a remarkable turnaround has seen them win four Premier League matches on the bounce to quash those fears. The most recent in that sequence was their dramatic 4-3 win over Tottenham Hotspur last Sunday.  Despite going 3-0 up after just 15 minutes in that game, Liverpool required substitute Diogo Jota to net a 94th-minute winner to secure all three points. Read more: Arsenal vs Chelsea: Preview and Expert Football Prediction That result has left them in fifth position going into this game with Fulham. They can still finish in the top four, given that they are currently six points behind Man United, having played a game more. But that will require them to win all their games and hope the Red Devils and Newcastle United drop points. Meanwhile, a few weeks back, Fulham were expected to be among the top six outsiders. But the Cottagers find themselves ten points behind the top six with almost no chance of European football. They have lost their last two games, with their last outing a 2-1 loss to Manchester City at home. They will be desperate to end that losing run and extend their recent unbeaten run against Liverpool to four matches (W1, D2).  However, they have lost seven of the last eight matches against a team starting the day above them in the standings (W1). So that will be something they look to overcome when travelling to Anfield. But the odds will be stacked against them, given Liverpool’s form at home, and they have lost four of their last five away assignments (W1). Meanwhile, Liverpool have scored a PL-high 220 goals in Wednesday fixtures while winning their last eight matches on this day. So we can expect another goal-fest and BTTS/GG. Manchester City vs West Ham: Preview and Expert Analysis

Manchester City will look to retain their place at the top of the Premier League table when they welcome Arsenal to the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday. After taking the title initiative courtesy of a 4-1 win over Arsenal, the hosts shot themselves to the top of the Premier League with a 2-1 win over Fulham at the weekend. The win against the Cottagers was their third win in a down and extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to 18 hands (W15, D3). Goals have been the foundation of that run, as they have scored 3+ goals in 12 of those games. They are even more dangerous at the Etihad, where they have won their last 13 games in all competitions while scoring 3+ goals in the last seven of those games. Read more: Real Sociedad vs Real Madrid: Preview and Expert Football Prediction So they will fancy their chances of beating West Ham here. At the same time, a run of just one defeat in their last 16 meetings with the Hammers will boost their confidence (W13, D3). Meanwhile, West Ham will be desperate to get back to winning ways after losing their last two games to stay within the relegation zone. Their most recent defeat was a 4-3 loss to fellow Londoners Crystal Palace–their first-ever PL away defeat after scoring thrice. That result kept them four points ahead of the relegation teams with five games to play. So that makes winning this game necessary as they could find themselves inside the bottom three if they lose here and at the weekend. But with a sorry away from that has won just three games away from home this season (W3, D3, L10), there is little hope they can get an unlikely win here. Meanwhile, given that the visitors have kept just one clean sheet in their last six games, City’s attack could enjoy another feast at the Etihad. So a high-scoring game with over 2.5 goals is expected. Click here to get accurate football predictions today.

Arsenal vs Chelsea: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Arsenal and Chelsea will renew their rivalry this Tuesday when they meet at the Emirates for the 61st Premier League head-to-head meeting.  The Gunners are looking to reclaim their place at the top of the Premier League table, albeit temporarily, after falling flat on their faces last weekend in a 4-1 loss to Manchester City. That loss was not the main reason they are sitting second in the PL table, though, as their run of three consecutive draws before that game gave the initiative to City. So they enter this game without a win in their last four games (D3, L1). For a side keen on winning the PL this season, such form is terrible and cannot give them a place on the podium. With the title destination now officially out of their hands, Mikel Arteta’s side will now hope City drops points to allow them a way back in the race. Read more: Sevilla vs Girona:  Preview and Expert Football Prediction They will have to keep winning and take their chances should Pep Guardiola’s side drop points. And given that they have never lost against Chelsea in the Premier League between Tuesday and Thursday (W4, D6), it should boost their morale.  However, Chelsea will feel like they can get something from this game, given how poor Arsenal have been. The Blues are in dire form, having lost their last five games under Frank Lampard.  Their total points tally after 32 rounds of games has kept them closer to the relegation zone than the top four, with their 39 points the same as Bournemouth, who are still technically in the relegation zone.  Although the Cherries have played two games more than Chelsea, Lampard will know that getting into a scrappy fight to stay inside the top half isn’t impossible.  Should they lose here, Chelsea will lose 20 competitive games in one season for the first time since 1987/88. But despite all the negatives, the Blues can boast a relatively respectable record in PL London derbies this season (W3, D4, L4). Yet Chelsea have won just one PL game against current top-half opposition this season (W1, D6, L9). Click here to get correct score predictions.

Leicester vs Everton:  Preview and Expert Football Prediction

The Premier League continues this Monday with a massive relegation six-pointer between Leicester City and Everton at the King Power Stadium. Both sides are among the bottom five teams who are separated by just six points and most-likey to get relegated at the end of the season.  However, Leicester have been progressing under Dean Smith since the Englishman replaced Brendan Rodgers. The former Aston Villa began his reign with a 3-1 loss to Manchester City but did better in the second game, as his side beat Wolves 2-1.  They followed that up with a 1-1 draw with fellow strugglers Leeds United last time out. The result moved the Foxes to 29 points, one above their Monday visitors Everton. So a win here will take them four points above Everton and potentially put their survival chances in their hands.  Read more: Liverpool vs Tottenham: Preview and Expert Football Prediction  So naturally, Dean Smith would be desperate to win here and record Leicester’s second consecutive league win at home for the first time since May last year. Meanwhile, Everton are also desperate for maximum points to end their torrid run of six games without a win (D3, L3), with a 4-1 loss to Newcastle United last Thursday night the most recent in that sequence. That loss came at home, where raucous fans with songs and blue flares welcomed them. But that reception did not inspire them to win, so it is hard to envision them winning away from home. And the fact that Sean Dyche’s side have not won an away game in the Premier League since October also makes it difficult to picture a win here. The Toffees have lost ten of their last 15 away games in all competitions (D4), failing to score on nine occasions. However, they have drawn three of their last four road outings while they have also enjoyed success at this venue recently, winning each of their last two visits to the King Power Stadium. This means they could register a much-needed third successive win here for the first time in their history. Meanwhile, Everton have failed to score in four of their last five away games played on a Monday (D1, L4). So we might witness a low-scoring game with under 2.5 goals.

Liverpool vs Tottenham: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Liverpool will welcome Tottenham to Anfield this Sunday as both sides look to secure three points that will keep their quest for a place in Europe next season alive. The Reds have endured one of their worst seasons in recent history, with eight losses from their first 32 games. However, things have been better in their last few games, with a 2-1 win over West Ham United their third win in a row. The win also extended their run of games without defeat to give (W3, D2) and kept them within seven points of the top four with a game more. Read more: Barcelona vs Real Betis: Preview and Expert Football Prediction But despite their winning run, things haven’t gone so smoothly for Jurgen Klopp’s men, as question marks around their defence remain. The Reds have kept only one clean sheet in their last eight matches. A return to Anfield will boost their chances of keeping a clean sheet, though, as most of the eleven they have kept this season have come at home. Considering they’ve lost only once in their last 38 home PL games (W28, D9), they will fancy their chances of getting a good result here. Meanwhile, Tottenham will travel to Liverpool on Sunday to get just their third win in 35 league visits to Anfield (D10, L23). The North London side come into this tie on the back of a credible 2-2 draw with Manchester United.  After going two goals down in the first half of the game, the visitors put in a good second-half show to snatch a point against Erik ten Hag’s side and, in the process, kept their slim hopes of a top-four finish alive. They will now travel to Anfield looking to record their first league win in three games and keep their hopes of finishing in the top four alive. However, a run of seven matches with no win away from home (D2, L5) makes it difficult to envision a win here. At the same time, their terrible record at Anfield will raise more fears that Liverpool will leapfrog them here, which would most likely end any faint chances of claiming a Champions League place. Crystal Palace vs West Ham: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Crystal Palace will continue their fight for Premier League survival this Saturday when they welcome West Ham United to Selhurst Park. The Eagles have found a new lease of life under veteran manager Roy Hodgson, who cancelled his well-deserved retirement to become Palace manager after the club sacked Patrick Vieira. Hodgson’s return to the club came with a bang as he won three straight games to steer Palace out of the relegation zone. However, the excitement of the new manager and the positive bounce that came with it has dwindled as Palace are winless and without a goal in their last two games (D1, L1). Read more: Union Berlin vs Bayer Leverkusen: Preview and Expert Football Prediction Their wait to secure Premier League football continues, as they have yet to reach the magical 40-point margin. But they have a healthy eight-point advantage over the relegation places, which provides some security.   Meanwhile, West Ham will travel to Selhurst Park looking to rerun to winning ways. David Moyes’ side had a disappointing outing last time, as they were beaten 2-1 by Liverpool in a match marred by late controversy. While head coach David Moyes could land himself in trouble with the FA for his comments about the referee in the Liverpool game, he will be eager to move on from that result and focus on getting maximum points here.  The Hammers will hit the road in good form, having picked up three wins in their last four away matches (W3, D1), where they conceded only once.  This form hasn’t only resulted in them earning a place in the Europa Conference League semi-final but also doubled their Premier League away points this season with victories over Bournemouth and Fulham. They will hope to get another positive away result at Selhurst Park against a Palace side yet to click at home.  Meanwhile, both teams have scored in the last eleven head-to-head meetings between both sides. So we can expect BTTS/GG at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

Everton vs Newcastle United: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Newcastle United will travel to Merseyside this Thursday to take on struggling Everton in the 33rd Round of the 2022/23 Premier League season. The Toffees are one of nine teams currently locked in a relegation battle. However, despite being reduced to ten men late in their last game, a determined Everton halted an in-form Crystal Palace with a 0-0 draw at Selhurst Park on Saturday. The result extended their record to just two defeats in seven Premier League (PL) outings. However, a big four draws within that run contributed to them slipping back into the relegation zone by goal difference heading into this midweek round. Read more: Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester United: Preview and Expert Football Prediction  After labelling Saturday’s result as “point earned,” manager Sean Dyche will know just how important it will be to follow that up with a win here. But to do so, the Toffees will have to overcome the psychological hurdle of just one win from the last six PL head-to-head meetings with Newcastle United.  Newcastle put themselves in a commanding position to secure Champions League football next season with a thumping 6-1 win over fellow top-four rivals Tottenham at St. James’ Park last time. Overall, the Magpies have scored 54 league goals, their most since 2002/03 (also 54), which was a season they finished in third position. With a yawning gap to fifth place, Newcastle fans are rightfully dreaming of famous Champions League nights back at St James’ Park, and another win here would take them one step closer to that goal.  However, Goodison Park hasn’t been a happy hunting ground for the Toon Army, who have won only one of their last ten visits (D3, L6) – a run that includes last season’s defeat here, which also ominously fell on a Thursday night. Meanwhile, Sean Dyche has won six of his nine PL meetings with Newcastle’s Eddie Howe (L3), his most wins against any manager in the competition.  Click here to get the correct score prediction for this game.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester United: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Manchester United will look to continue their quest for a top-four finish this Thursday when they visit North London to face struggling Tottenham Hotspur. The hosts are enduring one of their most difficult moments in recent history, with results on the pitch and happenings off it, not the best. They come into this tie after a disappointing 6-1 loss to fellow top-four contenders Newcastle United. The game saw them concede five times inside the first half. The aftermath of that loss saw interim manager Cristian Stellini sacked and the players promising to compensate the club’s away supporters who travelled to St. James’ Park. With Ryan Mason taking over from the sacked Stellini until the end of the season, Spurs will be desperate for a win to keep them within striking distance of the top four.  They enter this round of games sitting six points behind their fourth-placed visitors, having played two games more. So defeat here could leave them nine points short of that ambition if Newcastle also wins, while it would also see them on the receiving end of three consecutive Premier League (PL) losses for the first time since February 2022.  Read more: West Ham United vs Liverpool: Preview and Expert Football Prediction  Meanwhile, after booking their place in the FA Cup final, Manchester United will fancy their chances of winning here. No side in Premier League history have more wins against Tottenham than the Red Devils (39). They know that a win here will put them nine points ahead of Tottenham, and so they will be desperate for a win and to make it five wins in five games against Tottenham Hotspur. The Red Devils’ charge towards a top-four finish is powered by a strong defence that boasts the most PL clean sheets (14), helped by four shutouts in their last five league matches (W3, D1, L1).  But that solidity wasn’t on display in their last away assignment when they were dumped out of Europe by Sevilla. However, each of United’s previous six losses on the road were followed by a victory, so they should be confident of getting back on the winning trail here. Meanwhile, Tottenham has not had a home draw in the PL since December 2021 (W18, L8). So there is likely a winner in this game. Click here to get Sure Win Prediction Today.

West Ham United vs Liverpool: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Liverpool will look to make it three wins in three Premier League games when they travel to London to face West Ham United. Meanwhile, David Moyes’ side are looking to make it two wins in two league games and to keep their chances of survival alive in this game. The Hammers took a giant leap towards Premier League survival with a massive 4-0 win over fellow relegation candidates Bournemouth last time. The win made it five games without defeat for the hosts (W3, D2). The result also saw them score four goals for the second consecutive game after a 4-1 win against Belgian side Gent in the Europa Conference League. They now sit six points ahead of the relegation zone and will be hoping to keep their run going when Liverpool visits. However, keeping the Reds at bay will be a tall order, considering that only two of West Ham’s last 20 encounters with opposition starting the day in the top half ended in victory (D5, L13). Read more: Manchester City vs Arsenal: Preview and Expert Football Prediction  Jurgen Klopp’s side are unbeaten in twelve of the last 13 head-to-head meetings (W10, D2), although that only loss did come in this fixture last season.  They will look to win here and keep their dreams alive for an unlikely top-four finish. A miraculous 3-2 against Nottingham Forest at the weekend ensured they remained within striking distance of the top four places. But there is still work to be done to salvage something tangible from the season, as they currently sit seventh in the table. Meanwhile, West Ham are one of three Premier League teams this season yet to experience a 0-0 draw. So we can expect goals when both teams meet.  Therefore a BTTS/GG prediction would not be out of place.

Manchester City vs Arsenal: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Manchester City and Arsenal will go head-to-head this Wednesday in arguably the biggest game of the Premier League season for a  top-of-the-table clash that could decide where the title will end this season. Both sides are in a heated title race, with Pep Guardiola hoping to ensure his mentee and former assistant Mikel Arteta does not end their run to a third straight Premier League title. After slipping up, Guardiola’s side has fought well to keep up with Arsenal, thanks to a strong run of six straight Premier League wins.   They have done so while keeping their quest for a historic treble alive. They saw off Bayern Munich last week ( 4-1 on aggregate) to reach the Champions League semi-finals before beating Sheffield United (3-0) last weekend to book a place in the FA Cup final against Manchester United. Read more: Girona vs Real Madrid: Preview and Expert Football Prediction  So they come into this time in solid shape as they attempt to close Arsenal’s five-point gap at the top of the table, knowing they still have two games in hand. Their form at the Etihad will give them belief here, as the Cityzens have won each of their last six home PL fixtures by at least a two-goal margin, even though only two came with a clean sheet.  But Arsenal could struggle to score here as the hosts haven’t conceded in any of the last four head-to-head meetings (W4). The North London side have had terrible outings in their recent visits to the Etihad and cannot afford another poor result as that will take the title destiny out of their hands. Although they are five points ahead of City, they have played two more games and must win this game to ensure that the title destiny is still in their hands at the end of this round.  They could have been okay with a draw if they hadn’t shot themselves in the leg with three straight draws in which they conceded seven goals. They travel to the Etihad without a clean sheet in their last six games and must sort out their terrible defence to get all three points in this game and keep their title quest alive. Meanwhile, this season, Man City’s Premier League home games have produced a league-high average of 2.2 goals per first half. So we expect a high-scoring game at the Etihad, with over 2.5 goals a high possibility.
