Newcastle United vs Leicester City: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Premier League football resumes this Monday as Newcastle United welcomes Leicester City to St. James’ Park for the penultimate game of the 2022/23 season. Both sides are desperate for three points, with Newcastle desperate to win here to seal a place in the Premier League top four, while Leicester are fighting to avoid relegation.  Eddie Howe’s side took a step closer to their aim with a very important 4-1 win over high-flying Brighton last time. That win took them to within three points of Champions League qualification, which they can achieve if they win here. But if they lose here, they will go into the last game of the season, probably needing a win to seal a top-four finish. Read more: Empoli vs Juventus: Preview and Expert Football Prediction Having escaped a potential banana skin against Brighton, the Magpies should be confident of winning here, especially as they have a strong home record. Howe’s side have lost just two times at home this season, winning eleven and drawing five times. Meanwhile, Leicester City are on the brink of relegation after a 3-0 loss to Liverpool in their last outing. The Foxes are about to make a muted exit from the top flight just seven years after becoming the unlikeliest English champions of all time. If they lose here, they will be relegated, as they sit second from the bottom, two points behind the safety line with a terrible goal difference. The signs are ominous for them as they are winless in four (D2, L2), where they have shipped in ten goals. Dean Smith’s side are also winless in seven games away from home (D2, L5), adding extra doubt to their chances. While they have netted in their five most recent tests on hostile turf, it offers no guarantee they will score against a Newcastle side that has conceded the second-fewest goals in the league this season (32).

Manchester City vs Chelsea: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

After sealing a place in the Champions League final, Manchester City will look to win their first title of the season when they host Chelsea in the Premier League this Sunday. The Cityzens are in line to win three trophies this season, having already secured a place in the FA Cup and Champions League finals and sitting top of the Premier League table ahead of Arsenal.  A massive 4-0 win over Real Madrid in their last outing gave them a chance to win the UCL and proved their credentials in their attempt to win a historic treble. The visitors come into this tie on a run of 23 games without defeat (W19, D4). A 3-0 win over Everton in their last outing gave them an eleventh straight win in the Premier League. A 12th victory in succession here would crown them Champions of England for a historic third consecutive season. Read more: Augsburg vs Borussia Dortmund: Preview and Expert Football Prediction   Pep Guardiola’s side have beaten Chelsea in their last five H2Hs  without conceding a goal, so they will feel confident of winning here and extending their winning run at the Etihad to 17 games in all competitions. Meanwhile, Chelsea travel to Manchester in better shape than in recent months, having gone two games without tasting defeat for the first time since March. Frank Lampard’s side has never lost six consecutive matches without scoring to any opponent in their history, so they will fancy their chances of denting City’s title hopes and at least giving themselves something to cheer about an otherwise dreadful season where they could finish in the bottom half of the table for the first time since 1996.  But given that they have won none of their last 14 Premier League meetings against teams starting the day above them (D4, L10), it could be another long afternoon for the Blues. Also, the fact that they have won only two of their last 15 away assignments (D3, L10) does not give hope to even the most optimistic fans. Click here to get the best soccer prediction.

Nottingham Forest vs Arsenal: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Arsenal will travel to City Ground this Saturday to face relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest in a must-win game for both sides.  After securing a point in a well-fought 2-2 draw with Chelsea last weekend, the hosts could secure their Premier League (PL) status on Saturday if they win this game.  They will fancy their chances of snatching a result, especially as they are playing at home, where they have enjoyed much of their success this season. Moreover, Steve Cooper’s side scored seven goals across their two most recent home games, which is more than the total they had scored in seven competitive home games prior. So, there is a sense that things have clicked for the Tricky Trees at the crucial point of the season. Read more: AC Milan vs Sampdoria: Preview and Expert Football Prediction   Meanwhile, any Forest success would also see them complete a run of three straight top-flight home wins – a feat not accomplished within the same season since the winter of 1995/96. However, such a feat is unlikely to come easily, with the hosts’ latest home clean sheet dating back to early February.  Meanwhile, Arsenal head to City Ground with a sense of disappointment, having thrown away any hopes of an unlikely title win when Brighton them beat 3-0 in their last game. That result means that Pep Guardiola’s side need just two points to win the league, and they look likely to achieve that this weekend when they play Chelsea. Yet the Gunners will at least hope to ensure that they keep themselves on City’s toes.  Mikel Arteta’s side’s latest road trip saw a 2-0 win over UEFA Champions League chasers Newcastle after a mini-drought on the road (D2, L1). That win would have given them some cause for optimism. However, with the Gunners squandering 2-0 leads in both draws, the Gunners’ PL-best away record after half-time leads (W8, D3) is a stat worth treating with caution. Liverpool vs Aston Villa: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Liverpool will look to keep their top-four hopes alive when they welcome Aston Villa to Anfield.  Jurgen Klopp’s side kept themselves in contention for a place in the Champions League next season with a solid 3-0 away win to Leicester City in the last round. The win was their seventh in a row and guaranteed them a place in the Europa League next year. The result also broke a five-game streak of winning by exactly one goal and gave them their third clean sheet in a row. Therefore, The Reds are in red-hot form ahead of their final home game of the season. They’ve made a habit of getting good results in their final match at Anfield, having won their last home game for the last six Premier League seasons. However, Aston Villa travel to Liverpool in a confident mood, having ended a two-game losing streak without scoring a goal with a 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur.  Read more: Bayern Munich vs RB Leipzig: Preview and Expert Football Prediction The result put Unia Emery’s side equal on points with seventh-placed Spurs prior to the weekend. So they remain at the doorstep of European qualification as finishing in seventh will qualify them for the Europa Conference League group stage. That would be a remarkable achievement considering their last top-seven PL finish came back in the 2009/10 campaign. However, Villa have a bad history in the final away game of the season, having lost 23 of their final away game of a league campaign since the 1981/82 season (W5, D12).  Add to that; they have lost nine of their last ten league encounters against Liverpool (W1). Meanwhile, Liverpool have won 14 of their last 15 PL games played in May (D1). Click here for expert football predictions.

Leicester City Liverpool: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

The fight for Premier League survival continues for Leicester City this Monday when they welcome Liverpool to King Power Stadium. The Foxes come into this round of games sitting inside the relegation zone after three games without a win (D2, D1). The last in that sequence was an embarrassing 5-3 loss to Fulham in their previous outing. That game saw them concede five times (three in the first half), taking their total goals conceded for the season to 64. So ahead of this round, only four sides have conceded more goals than Dean Smith’s side, who are running out of time to secure their Premier League destiny. Read more: Real Betis vs Rayo Vallecano: Preview and Expert Football Prediction They will welcome Liverpool to the King Power Stadium, hoping for a good result. But having not kept a clean sheet in their last 20 PL outings (W3, D4, L13) despite scoring in ten of those 17 winless matches, they seem unlikely to get a result here. However, the away form of Liverpool could also serve as an encouragement for the Foxes. The Reds have secured more than double the number of points at home (43) compared to their away haul (19).  Yet, they are a team in form, having won their last six Premier League games to push themselves into fifth position ahead of this round of matches. But each of the last five wins have come by one-goal margins, as in the reverse fixture when Jurgen Klopp’s side won 2-1. Moreover, the visitors have kept two clean sheets in their last two games. So we can expect a cagey affair with few goals. Therefore, an under 2.5 goals game is highly likely. Click here to get 100 percent winning tips.

Arsenal vs Brighton: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

The title race continues this Sunday with second-placed Arsenal taking in overachievers Brighton at the Etihad Stadium. The Gunners kept their hopes of a title win alive with a gusty 2-0 win over top-four hopefuls Newcastle United away from home. The win was their second in a row and saw them pass what appeared to be their last test against top opposition. However, Brighton doesn’t come easy these days, as the Seagulls have morphed into a solid opposition under Roberto De Zerbi. They are currently chasing a role six finish and come into this tie with the chance of achieving that goal still intact despite a shocking 5-1 loss against Everton on Monday night. Read more: Everton vs Manchester City: Preview and Expert Football Prediction De Zerbi has vowed that his side will learn from that defeat and bounce back here. The Seagulls should pose a threat here, having scored in each of their last 11 PL road fixtures (W5, D3, L3). However, their mixed league record in the capital this term is worth noting (W2, D1, L3). But it is also worth noting that Brighton have won their last two H2Hs here, so the Gunners should expect another challenge as they aim to extend their six-game unbeaten PL run at the Emirates (W5, D1).  Meanwhile, Arteta’s side have scored at least three goals in their last six PL games at the Emirates, but they’ve never managed that against Brighton in the PL here (W2, D1, L2). So an over 1.5 goals game is definite.

Everton vs Manchester City: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Everton will continue their quest for Premier League survival this Sunday when they welcome title-chasing Manchester City to Goodison Park. The hosts took a giant step toward beating relegation last Monday night with a dramatic 5-1 win over high-flying Brighton away from home. That win ended a run of 15 consecutive away games without a win for The Toffees and was also the first time Sean Dyche’s men scored five times away from home since Boxing Day 2018. Dyche will be hoping that his side’s display at the Amex is a sign of his side’s resurging, especially in attack, where they had held the record of fewest goals scored before that win.  Read more: Arsenal vs Brighton: Preview and Expert Football Prediction Goals have been tough to come at home this season for the Merseysiders, as they have scored more than once in just one PL home game. Having climbed out of relegation last Monday with two points ahead of the bottom three, they will believe more than ever that they can beat the drop. However, the visit from Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City is often a tough task for the Toffees, whose last win in this fixture was a memorable 4-0 win in 2017. City have dominated this fixture since that result, winning ten of the last 12 competitive meetings.  The visitors also come into this tie on a run of ten straight league wins, a feat they have now achieved on five occasions under Guardiola. No other manager can match that many 10+ winning streaks in Premier League history. Their 1-1 draw in Real Madrid on Tuesday means they are unbeaten in 20 competitive games, too, making them the clear favourites for a win here. Yet, their Champions League semi-final tie with Madrid on Wednesday could distract them here, as Pep Guardiola is expected to rotate his squad.Click here to get direct win predictions.

Manchester United vs Wolves: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Manchester United will continue their quest for a top-four finish this Saturday when they welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers to Old Trafford.  The Red Devil’s chances of securing a top-four finish this season took a big hit last weekend as they were beaten by West Ham (1-0) away from home.  The loss was their second defeat in a row and reduced their once-healthy lead over the top four chasing sides to just one point, even though they have one game in hand.  Read more: Leeds United vs Newcastle: Preview and Expert Football Prediction That means they remain in charge of their destiny ahead of this game at home against Wolves. They will fancy their chances here given that they are currently on an unbeaten 26-game run in home matches (W22, D4), with their last home PL defeat at Old Trafford coming against Brighton on the season’s opener. Meanwhile, Wolves have won only at Old Trafford since 1980 (D3, L10). However, that sole victory came last season. Moreover, Julen Lopetegui’s side should be full of confidence after mathematically confirming their place in the Premier League next season with a huge 1-0 win over Aston Villa.  That means the visitors are just the fourth side in Premier League history to be bottom of the table at Christmas and still survive. And now, with the pressure of relegation lifted from their shoulders, Wolves can target an improvement on their rod trips as they’ve won just two of their last 21 Premier League away matches (D6, L13).  They’ll likely have to build on their poor record of one league clean sheet on the road. Meanwhile, only one of the last eight H2H meetings with Manchester United have seen both teams on the scoresheet. So, we can expect a low-scoring game at Old Trafford, with under 2.5 goals highly likely.  Click here for correct score tips daily.

Leeds United vs Newcastle: Preview and Expert Football Prediction

Leeds United will continue their quest for Premier League survival this Saturday when they welcome top-four hopefuls Newcastle United to Elland Road in the early kickoff fixture of the weekend. The hosts’ desire to remain in the Premier League beyond this June remains intact despite a 2-1 loss to Manchester City in their last outing.  New manager Sam Allardyce declared after the game that he has hope, given how ‘dogged’ they performed at the Etihad.  However, the Yorkshire club welcome high-flying Newcastle to Elland Road, sitting inside the relegation zone, two points off safety with just three games to play.  Read more: Manchester United vs Wolves: Preview and Expert Football Prediction But with their relegation rivals playing later, the hosts can provisionally move above Everton to a position of relative safety if they win here. They can take heart from a goalless draw in the reverse H2H, but they have to score their first goal against Newcastle since their Saudi takeover (D1, L1) to boost their fading hopes. Meanwhile, Newcastle United will look to get back to winning ways here after suffering a rare win in their last outing against Arsenal, who beat them 2-0 at home.  That loss was just their second loss at home and greatly affected their chances of securing Champions League group-stage football for the first time since 2002/03.  Yet, their top-four destiny remains in their hand given that they remain in third spot, three points ahead of fifth-placed Liverpool, having played a game less. But they know they must win here to avoid getting caught by the high-flying Reds.  That said, playing away from home is unlikely to faze Eddie Howe’s men after they picked up 12 of the last 15 points available on the road (W4, L1). Providing a further boost to the Toons’ away form is that they’re unbeaten against every side placed ninth or worse at home (W7, D3), which includes scoring 3+ goals against four of the five lowest-ranked sides. Meanwhile, Leeds have won just one home league game as pre-match home outsiders this season (W1, D2, L4). So, this game is likely to go Newcastlee’s way.  Click here for correct score tips daily.

Fulham vs Leicester City: Preview and Expert Prediction

Leicester City will continue their fight for Premier League survival this Monday when they travel to London to face Fulham.  The Cottagers were one of the teams expected to challenge for a top-six fight towards the end of the season. However, they have endured a poor ending to the season, with seven losses recorded in their last nine league games (W2). The most recent in that sequence was a narrow 1-0 loss to Liverpool last weekend which extended their losing streak to three games. As such, they come into this round of games sitting in tenth position, three points ahead of Chelsea. Read more: Brighton vs Everton: Preview and Expert Prediction  Therefore, their league placement should still be considered a commendable achievement by Marco Silva’s men, especially as the Cottagers last three Premier League campaigns all ended in relegation.  Meanwhile, Fulham have won only one of their last five home PL matches (D1, L3), so another disappointing outing could be on the cards for the Cottagers, who will be desperate to give their fans something to cheer about.  Leicester City’s fight to avoid relegation remained on track as they held fellow strugglers Everton to a 2-2 draw in their last outing. Although Dean Smith’s side were outplayed in the game against Everton and needed the heroics of goalkeeper Daniel Iversen to snatch the result, they won’t be worried much as the result kept them above the relegation zone and extended their unbeaten run to three games (W1, D2). They will travel to Craven Cottage, desperate to record their longest unbeaten run of the season. However, they would have to overcome the hurt of losing four of their last six matches on their travels (D2) to achieve that feat. Meanwhile, Leicester have conceded first in all but one of their last 17 PL matches. So we expect that there will be a first-half goal in this game.  Click here to get accurate football predictions.
